Yup. I haven't paid. Sorry. Again I'm awaiting a HG fix. That's cool if I get dropped. Hopefully there will be that second spot where I can cruise and stay.

Hey....If you are 100% in, no worries. You can pay up later....So you in????:bounce:

Just updated the orig post with the line up. We are 14 folks that posted up that they are in. Not bad...I bet we can squeeze everyone in w/o too much hassle. Just a guess....

I'm not sure what to bring for the potluck! do we have an estimate of how many people?
Anyone want fresh coconut? I will chop it at camp, you can drink right out of it.

Coconuts sound good to me!

It's getting closer gents!

Looking forward to this!

Sean - open fire allowed or charcoal? I can bring plenty of firewood from my golf club - free of charge wood to me.

Looks like we are good for a fire.If you can still bring wood that would be great. Thanks Brent!

I'm totally lost on this thread, it looks like I might be too late to join in. Also, I can't figure out where the location is. I must be loosing it. LOL
Maybe I can come for the day?

The location is Cook Creek Group Campground. The location info was discussed in an earlier thread. Take a look.

If there are any guys who want to come up to camp but the site is totally full then I would be fine with them camping on my lot. I'm up here in the San Berdu mtns. in Forest Falls. I'm gonna head up to the campsite around 7:15-7:30ish am. We could simply cruise over together. It's about a 25 minute drive over to Coon Creek. I have a small grassy section in my back yard that could hold 3-4 tents. I could probably fit a couple more down below. It's got a fire pit and a great view of the Falls and close to Mill creek. My property is at the end of town and backs up against the national forest, so there is a little privacy. If someone shows up to camp and their is no room left then they could use my place as a back up.

Hey Dave. I think we will be good with everyone camping onsite. I put the list up and never heard back from you so we moved on. No worries though brother. We should be good. I last count I believe there are four extra rigs joining us overnight. Worst case is you park just outside of camp in and tent it at camp. I would suggest not pulling your trailer and just tenting it this time.

Sound good ?

I am out at the moment but will get specific driving directions up for folks this weekend. In a nutshell the camp is six miles down a dirt road off of hey 38 between Forest Falls and Big Bear. Near the Jenks Lake area. Hope this helps.

Are you heading up on Friday or Saturday? The title says 9/20-9/21 which is Friday and Saturday.

I am heading up Friday and hope to be at camp by noon.

Brent, I was reading the INIT roof rack thread, I noticed you bought one. Do you still have it? I'm drawing up plans to make one of these, it looks like I'm going to be making some modifications. What type of material is the floor made of? It looks like aluminum from the pics int he thread. I'm making some pretty cool mods and addons to it :D

Yep, still have it. Yes - the floor boards are aluminum. The frame is as well. The only pieces that are steel are the upper rack tubing and the gutter towers.

You're more than welcome to take a good look at the M&G.

cool thanks, I will definitely check it out, but I think I will be done by then.
What would you like to add or change if you can?
- I'm making the bottom frame out of 1.5" square tubing, rails are 1" square tube, I'm not making the light grill in front but it can be added later easily with removable mounts and at any size desired.
- I'm making the fuel can storage movable front and rear bc fuel cans over my head is not appealing, also thinking about putting a rod through the fuel can handles and put a lock on it.
- The front and back rails will also be removable to carry longer things like a kayak, or lumber including 4x8 plywood. The all the rails can come off to have a flat rack for whatever reasons.
- I will also add spare tire carrier in front and rear of the rack, it will slide to the left, right or center of the rack to make room for other gears or to balance out the weight if you are driving alone.
- The corners on the frame will be 45 degrees for a bit of aesthetic than the square box.
- Hi lift jack mounts, shovel mounts, hooks through out the frame for easy tie down.

I like your thoughts - especially the rod thru the fuel cans. I'd build that to act as a tie down if possible too. Sides on the INTI pivot down and all the cross bars outside the front screen for the lights do come off for longer items as you point out.

I've only ever had two jerry cans up in that front section designed from them and have had no issues.

I'm in South OC and off work right now if you want to swing by for a look or measurements, etc. prior to the M&G.
