Yes, this is a family friendly event. Your spouse, your kids and even your well behaved dogs are encouraged to attend.

As far as the 40 Series is concerned, we have a lot of respect for our elders. After all a 70 Series is simply a 40 Series with new skin.

It’ll be like ruby ridge X waco for the FCC if they bust an unlicensed GMRS uprising

Page 4 Updates:

* This is a charity event and all proceeds above those required to cover our cost will go to THE ALS FOUNDATION.
* This is a TLCA sanctioned event and all drivers and only drivers will be required to be TLCA members.
* This is billed as a 70 Series event however ALL Land Cruisers are welcome to attend.
* Event t-shirts are available through “Reefmonkey.com”. (We are not directly involved in the t-shirt sales however the charity will get a portion of the proceeds from each sale).
* Attendance will be capped at 50 vehicles and registration will close on SEPTEMBER 11th.

In response to a few emails that start off like this “but my Land Cruiser is stock” …….

Windrock has trails that range from what are basically gravel roads to those that will make you wonder if you made a good choice and will survive the day.
We will have multiple guides and will do everything possible to make sure that both you and your vehicle are up to the task. We’ve never left anyone on the mountain (well there was that one guy but we eventually got him).

There are also several cool sites nearby to check out that don’t even require a Land Cruiser (just more fun in one) like the abandoned Lake City Air Force Base.

Essentially, a gravel road to the top of the mountain where the Air Force set up radar bases in the 1950’s. Now abandoned, but a few structures still exist, including the top of what appears to be the cable car that personnel would ride up the mountain for their shift. The area still operates as a location for Radio antennas so the road is usually well maintained.

Ordering event t-shirts serves 2 purposes…….
1). We get a portion of the shirt proceeds which will go entirely to the charity.

Just got my ticket and trying to plan the rest of my trip - what general area of the campground are people staying at? I'd prefer to be near others in the group versus by myself, far away from everyone else...

I'll just be sleeping in my car, so I'd be totally down to split a campsite if anyone is interested.

For those of you that don’t have the time to read 4 pages of post, here are the “cliff notes”.
* This is a charity event (The ALS Foundation).
* This is basically a social event that happens to involve Land Cruisers.
* The focus is on the 70 Series however all Land Cruisers are welcome to attend.
* Your organizers (and volunteers) will host all 3 evening meals at their cabins.
* This is a TLCA sanctioned event and all drivers will need to be TLCA members.
* Registration closes on 9/11/2023.
