Its not easy to build something like that with symmetry. Its looks even and follows the body lines well. Good job. Now all its needs is some chrome! Chrome all the things!
Bj60?...
Ok with you there!I hate it when I run out of shields gas on a Sunday.
I personally wouldn't use any of the dodge/Chrysler turbos. Reason why is that when I was looking for my first turbo for my 3b landcruiser. All those turbos I found at the wreckers were seized and probably the reason why those cars were in the junk yard to begin with. They are liquid cooled too, which means more plumbing on your plate. As you probably read, I use the 1.6 VW turbo and parts from the injection pump. I had to add an electronic fuel pump as my fuel pump wasn't able to keep up with the new fuel demand. It was a fun truck but I sold it. Manifolds are hard to come by here so that's why I made my own. Way more fun too!Ok with you there!
I want to open up chat in this thread again. I know it's been 4 years but you care to indulge me with your great ideas? I live in Duncan, have myself a minty 2wd little 86 Hilux diesel. Was a 2 wd that I solid axle swapped and a turbo is coming up next!
I've got a turbo out if a dodge Daytona that I was thinking of using. Looks like finding an injection pump from a 1.6l VW turbo diesel will be necessary as well as a turbo manifold from a 2LTE.... Best part of that is, I'm currently In Thailand ... I feel like I should snag up all the parts and throw them into another checked bag and bring them home!
Do you still own this thing?! I hope you get this message haha.
Let's chat a bit if your up for it. I've got to many yotas in the yard not enough turbo whistle in my ears.

So I have a 85 Chrysler Daytona and I am T2 Turbo swapping it so the T1 turbo will be coming off... It still spools up really well. A stock Toyota 2LT turbo is also water cooled. So I didn't really think it was a bad idea I'd just have to add some pipes and a couple of Ts into the upper and lower intake hoses. But I've been lucky and I have found a fellow in Kamloops that seems to have all the stock parts from a 2LT from 1985. I'm bugging him to send me the manifolds and all accessories. Both intake and exhaust. I should look for a new turbo though. There are CT20 kits made for the 2LT manifold and can get it off eBay.ca so I was leaning that direction. But if the stock turbo he has is in good working order, would it be a good option? He also has the thermostat housing that has the water line inlet/outlets that run the to the turbo. Definitly going to try and get everything from him.I personally wouldn't use any of the dodge/Chrysler turbos. Reason why is that when I was looking for my first turbo for my 3b landcruiser.
