87 4runner chassis swap

Just a question i have had on my mind for a bit.

I am just wondering if a 87 4runner ifs body will fit onto the 85 leaf chassis , just want to make sure that all body mounts will line up just incase there is anythin different which wouldnt allow the body to be swapped over without any futher modifications. the reason i ask this is because i have the opportunity to buy a complete rolling 85 4runner chassis and just want to confirm it will work before i hand over the cash.

Yup, should swap no problem.

I would suggest that you order a new set of polyurethane body bushings to install when you do the swap (or an entire set which includes torque rod, etc.). LC Engineering sells a good set, as do other companies. They aren't very expensive but really improve the ride.

thankx guys,, and it will be getting completely overhauled , so yer new bushings
