86 4Runner no run issue

I have a 86 4Runner run for a second then dies. Back story I got a complete running engine from a buddy. We drove it into his shop and pulled everything complete harness ecm, coil, everthing. I have installed a new fuel pump. Also have it jumped to run constant. It turns over well, runs for a few seconds and dies. It will not accept any throttle. Intake tube is tight. All engine grounds are clean and present. Ideas?

My first thought is AFM is not hooked up. What do you mean "jumped to run constant?"

I think he means he has the B+/Fp jumper in place to force the fuel pump to run, so the AFM is out of the equation.

Missed a connection on the injector resistor. All good now thanks
