Hey everyone! First time posting here so I hope I don't step afoul of anything. I've searched high and low thru the forums to find the answer to this question so posting has been my last resort. I am in the process of trying to get my 84 FJ60 up and running. This is my first *car* project (I've worked on a number of motorcycles) and my husband is helping, but for the most part I'm trying to get her going on my own. I've pulled the carburetor--which appears to be an original Aisin--and am getting ready to start the rebuild. When we pulled the jets, we noticed that there were long hairline cracks in what appears to be possibly an outer casing of both jets. They go approximately halfway up the stem. Now, I've never done a carb rebuild and used the original jets (always replaced), however, I am aware it is impossible to get the OEM ones (I've been looking for weeks, fwiw). Bc of this, both my husband and I are unsure if we can reuse these jets, or if this means I should get a whole new carb? Is it worth it to attempt a rebuild on this carb with these jets, or am I dead in the water?

Update: I think the washers make a difference on the Fuji jets. They might have caused them to bottom out and the washer is there to prevent this. I’ve been playing with the idle speed and idle mixture and have had some mixed results on a steady idle. I only put a couple of gallons of gas in the tank to do the same 5 mile test run so i want to put at least a half tank and do another test since the sender may not be that accurate with just a few gallons in the tank. Still with the smaller jet/large jet combo, power is noticeable better than the two smaller ones.

Spell it out like you are talking to a wet sock:
You put what jets where from where?

Thank you,

Ah, got it. So you swapped the left ones.
Basically just switched the right side (secondary) to the bigger jet. Carb comes with the alternative jets screwed into the outside bolt. Small jets are the standard in both so I switched out the secondary with the larger. Primary is the one with the flap on the left if looking from the front. At first I switched both to the larger jets and then after noticing excessive fuel consumption I switched the primary back to the smaller. Make sense now?

Yeah, I guess that makes sense now. Your IG vid made it look like you swapped the left side.
I have the same carb and never really played with the jets but I did notice the spares. I think I said this before, but I thought City Racer said the spares were high altitude jets, so I guess smaller.

Note the file name. This is from the CR website.
Thought this would be good info here.
