84-89 4Runner rear sliding window "goo"?

The side windows are goo'd in with some type of non-hardening black stuff that's still nasty after 25 years.... Anyone know what it is, and where it can be found? Thanks!

It specifies butyl tape in the 1985 FSM. Could that be your "goo"?

It is probably butyl or what they call a soft kit. It was used on older vehicles to secure the windshields in place as well as provide a weather barrier for the other glass. you can get it at automotive specialty shops or your local glass shop; it comes in a roll. You"ll need one per side.
