Hey all, here are a couple photos of the goings on for those who are interested.. Sold my 82 Bj42 in the fall to a nice fella from Saskatchewan and have been working away on this ever since.

Pulled the tub off and fixed some weirdo body mount issues, cut some seriously huge holes in some expensive aluminum, loaded it on a truck and sent it on its way to paint.

Everything else (minus the roll bar) is powdercoated and ready to go so hopefully I can blast this bad boy together in fairly short order.
Stuff still do to:
-Source a throttle pedal and linkage from something
-Hash out the simplest way to make Vintage Air be happy with a 24v diesel weirdo system
- re-loom the wiring harness
- Assemble absolutely everything.

Once she's free from paint I'll be making many drives to my dad's shop in Nanaimo for final assembly.

Photos of the paint, door repairs etc

Only the driver door had rust, thankfully.

Onward we go!

Or should I say, I like it X3! HaHa!! Looks great, so you have the original wiring harness?
Ha! Not sure how that happened. Computers are not my forte.

Yeah, I've got the original wiring harness. I'm swapping in a bluesea fuse block (has a few blanks for the air conditional and arb compressor) and a few other harness updates. Just need to clean it up and re-loom.

I've got an 81 wiring harness I'll be using for my 13BT install on my FJ40. It's in great shape.
Any pieces of that harness you cut off if you don't want, I would be interested in.

Cool, I'll let you know

Nice solid looking project! Looking forward to the progression on that thing. Looks like your shackles are backwards and upside down though.
Thanks! I should have fixed the shackles as soon as I bought it as people keep mentioning it to me. I should post a disclaimer! Fixing the shackles is on the list, but fairly far down at the moment.

I'm good for shackles, thanks Wombat. Just need flip those ones around... gotta build up the motivation!

Great work jesse!!!

I was hoping to see an update on your build!

Your old 42 has been having a sleep the last few months haha

I'm currently having a tough time replacing the winch thats welded to your front bumper haha

If you need some OEM parts I just received my ebrake cable from Onur, he is a busy guy so you have to be patient..He sent me some swag which was really nice.

He beat Mr. Canuck Toyota even with my discount by a few dollars after shipping..

Hey you need a snorkel for that thing? I've got a safari snorkel still in the box I don't need anymore.

Also that looks awesome. Well done!

Thanks! I've actually got a snorkel already that I'm hoping to get rid of eventually. Thank you though!

Are these people on 'mud that you've been dealing with? Google searches didn't help me, haha. I'm not familiar with either of those folks! Definitely could use ebrake cables, among other random odds and ends.
