Think this is a long-shot but... like to find the dome light intended for 1982-83 It has a 2 wire hook up

I have one from a 11/75 if you still need it

Chris... finding out that the '82 + has the 2 wire hook up that connects to a door jamb switch. Would you have one of these also?

If you're talking about the door jamb switch, it's still available new from Toyota. Need the little bump out piece to hold it. Otherwise will have to fab one up.

Yeah... I have the jamb switches just not the correct dome light!

Thanks

Rob Smith in Thomasville, Ga. has a complete inventory of 40 Series dome lights.
"Extremearrow@yahoo.com".

I got an LED light from Rob Smith... It has a 2 position switch and a 2 wire hookup to enable auto on with the door jamb switch - I kept blowing fuses (maybe some issue with the jamb switch) so I just hooked it up to switch on/off manually... Very bright

Since the door switch just completes the ground circuit I doubt it would case a fuse to blow. Two position switch with the wire would allow the door switch to work but not allow you to prevent the light from coming when the door opens. Thought about doing this to my FJ45LP-B with the stock dome light. The stock 82 dome light does allow you to disable the door switches. Won't be for a while but could post a picture of the 82 and later dome light. Just too bad Toyota discontinued this light instead of keeping this one and discontinue the early one. Without door switches it only turn on in one of the three positions but would still work.

Tell me more about the door switches and 2 wire dome light. I am looking for 2 assemblies. Thanks
Ha.... the true 2-wire dome lights for late model 40s are very ‘unicorn’! I went through trouble to get one fabbed then took the hard top off and haven’t used it in 3 years 🤣
I bet the switch and light guru @ToyotaMatt could hook you up!
