My Christmas Present

Will be in SD for the holidays and would love to give my 80 a present. Really love the integration with the flares. I have been looking for someone to fab a swing out 2" trailer hitch for bicycle carrier attachment, instead of a tire.

Hitch fitment

I've got a question about the hitch. Would your bumper built without the hitch option still allow use of the factory mounted hitch? I need a "rated" towing hitch on my truck.

As promised, here are some pics.

My license plate is blocked from view right now but Sean is macguyvering something together for me due to the fact that I put on a spare tire cover.

Seems like if the tire carrier was moved to the side just a little (a la IPOR's bumper) you could just move the license plate to the side and mount the plate with one screw.

With 35"+ tires that would probably make the tire block the tail-light, though.

bumper latest specs and design

140 lbs with single tire swingout. 165 lbs with tire and 3 jerry can swingout shown here

Put me down for one! Anyone else in TN want to hop on board w/ me?

Mine should be here tomorrow, it is the one with dual swingouts and hoops Sean posted, I will post pics as soon as it is installed for you guys. BTW Sean has been really helpful getting this bumper perfect for me and I know he had to fight the Jerry can rack some, I think it looks great! I would suggest to anyone dont hesitate to deal with Sean the deal will go smooth and you will get a quality product.

the bumper has evolved a bit, and as it is now it is built with a 2x4 3/16 wall main beam, and all the rest of the square tubing is not less than .120. i only now use 4x4 labs hub and spindle setup for the tire swingout. 2k lb compression latches, 1/2 drop pins to lock the swingouts closed and open. holds tightly up to 39" tire. tire mount flange adjusts to accomodate differant size wheels and offsets. 3/4" thick clevis mounts, high lift jack mount, antenna tab, lighted licence plate mount, 2" dom hitch tube reciever cut into center of main beam. bolts onto the end of the frame after the crossmember has been removed, and side protection frame brackets made out of 5/16 and 3/8 steel bolt up similiar to slee setup under the stock resonator mount, and stock resonator can stay in its place. 140 lbs with single tire swingout. 165 lbs with tire and 3 jerry can swingout. i can ship em to anywhere in the 48 now for between 150 and 200 to a frieght terminal or buisiness with a forklift or dock. it ships on a 4' x 6.5' pallet with all the hardware. 1100 bare steel single swingout, add 350 for the jerry can holder. powdercoat add 200. local pick i will install at no charge.

i love mud

That thing is BA! Whats the cost of the jerry can swing out alone? Hard to tell from that pic but it looks like the hi lift attaches to the jerry can holder? I have a bumper with dual spindles, One is a tire carrier and one spindle is lonely! Whats the shipping like?

X2 ^^ How much are these with dual swing outs?

I don't think Sean is doing fab work right now. I've been trying to get him to modify my bumper for some time without much luck. I think he got a real job

At any rate, I doubt he visits this site much anymore. If I hear from him, I'll remind him to check in.
