I might have missed it, but what's the price of these BA bumpers?

yes i am back at it again. and it is good to be back! i am offering a dual swingout setup powdercoated reduced to $1600 in honor of presidents day. install no extra with local pickup. i have dialed in a few things on it and will post a pic up in the next couple of days.

Thanks guys for all your support

Sean

Hi Sean, just curious what you have dialed in over the more recent ones from the last batch?

I have replaced the drop pins with spring loaded plungers to basically do the same thing the drop pins were doing, simplifing things up a little. put the jack on the back of the gas can rack... it fits a little better in there. put antenna mount and a flag mount on it too. i have been playing with the placement of a light tab for it, the higher up on it the better i am guessing. offset a little from the center of the rack outward to clear tire better maybe too? been thinking of a removable sort of cooler rack for on top of the gas can rack. i want to make it out of a slightly smaller tubing size, ordered up a die from van sant yesterday be here in a few days. the lug studs thread size on the tire carriewr even matches the trucks now. dont know why i didnt do that in the first place. oh yeah i remember k surplus in national city where i get all my hardware because it is at least 10 times less expensive than anywhere else does not have any 12mmx1.50 bolts. i broke down and got then at napa this time. when my die gets here the pics will follow. until then, happy wheelin

Sean,
You should just go ahead and get youself an 80 so you can come out and wheel with us and show off your bumper. I wish my bumper is as stout as to what you have now. Awsome bumper comparing to what you started out with.

Yea, that bugs me haha. Still waiting for you to swap mine out, and reinforce the bottom of the jerry can basket.

Tht is what we are talking about!

Sean,
What down payment does it take to get one on order?
I am serious to get in line. I need a dual swing outs and a hitch embedded.
If you need an 80 to be a test fixture, I have one (Az. plated) in the drive that is going thru baselining...at a pace too slow.
If you need it say the word. I am 1-1.5 hrs north.
Cruisah has cruisin off road wings that can be removed easily.

Best Regards and welcome back!
Frank

Anyone with a picture of a rear ladder. I am thinking about doing a single swing out with tire on driver side and ladder on passenger side so that the whole thing swings away from a curb if pulled up next to one on the passenger side. Like this
attachment.php

But a longer swing arm with a ladder.

This would make for faster access to the back by not having to open two latches.

Does that make sense? Any other suggestions?

None of these aftermarket ones are because of all the red tape in getting them rated. But I would put my hands in any of the aftermarket ones just as much as the stock.

yup thanks Nick, i think they have definently have evolved some, no 2 i dont think are the same. yours is the original, come by and lets see what can be done to her. have you named her yet? and eric we gotta get togather get you some 12mmx1.50,s, and reinforce the basket? anyone else want the lugs changed come on by.

That's freakin awsome! A man who stands behind his products and takes care of upgrades!!! Wish I had enough cash and time to drive down there for one of these bumpers!!!!
