in the past I’ve asked tons of questions on here and it seemed people got a little bit annoyed with me lol
You must have repeatedly asked the same stupid question?
People are mostly helpful, with the odd smart ass response reserved for people who don't put in the effort to read shared links etc
A stroker has a lot of appeal to me, but they change the power characteristics of the engine a lot.
They make a lot of torque, but also become kind of choppy/thrashy meaning they'll rev out fast compared to a conventional engine. Kind of like comparing a two stroke dirt bike to a for stroke dirt bike.
The longer the stroke, the more this is true.
Rapid power delivery is not desirable for snow or ice
Stroker requires relatively shorter conrods and short skirt pistons. Both these things combine to accelerate wear of cylinder walks and rings
Another thing with a stroker, you'd be building something kind of unique. It's not a well travelled path in land cruiser world. You'll be a pioneer, not a lot of support available in researching the tech, sourcing parts, building, tuning, long term maintenance, terrible shooting etc just because it's not a common thing to do.
The machining required on the engine block for a stroker is getting a little specialised. Not every shop will have the patience or capability lts not something you'd take to the nearest available machine shop.
