I tried doing a search on the 80 series running board and got nothing .I have a 1997 lx450 . I'm looking for someone or a company that makes a copy or close to the same as the factory running board . Either with the the hard plastic black piece or with out , my plastic piece 's are still good . Its the metal underneath it has has rusted out . I'll take any type of material, Aluminum, hard plastic, metal or wood , anything is better than nothing . Does anyone make anything to replace the rusted ones I have ? Something in the 50 to 100.00 dollar range . If it needs painting I can paint it . predrilled holes if its metal would be nice . I was thinking a piece of thin metal with a angle on it cut to the right size ,I can glue the plastic piece I gave on it . Thanks

I see them for sale often since many take theirs off. Mine will come off as soon as the kids don't need them or I am ready to drop some money on sliders. I prefer the sliders, but my cheapness interferes.

Yup. Classified section

Add a wanted post or tag in your sigline. Most folks throw them away. @sleepycruiser just removed his in asheville but they may already be at the dump.

Westin and the like make round tube steps as well but will be over your price range id bet.

Millers Jeep trail ate one of mine years ago! They both came off and are at the local dump!

x2 on the suggestions for patience and lurking in classified for parting out, parts sales or your own post in parts wanted. Someone nearby you will willingly give you theirs before too long!

Thanks. Plastidip grey with a few coats of uv clear. No rock chips. Thought it complimented the exciting color code of greyish beige.

In the meantime, take yours off and run without them. After a week or so you will wonder why you wasted your time looking for a fix in the first place.

what are the cheapest sliders out there ? The only ones I can find are close to 1,000 dollars .

Cheapest are rocky road outfitters

DO NOT BUY. absolute garbage and a pain to mount.

Get what you pay for sometimes

Drive up to Louisville this weekend, help me take mine off and you can have them! But you have to drive the rig in your avatar. I would love to check that out in person!

MetalTech sells sliders of their own design ($$), and some made by OPOR ($). I have the OPOR sliders. Under $670 all year and typically go on sale for 10 or 15% off once a year (often in November.) OPOR FZJ80 Land Cruiser/LX450 Sliders MetalTech's current sales are on SALES & SPECIALS

As others have said, you may find the stock steps for free or cheap in the classified section here.

Check local wrecking yards. I found a wrecked cruiser w/ OEM running boards in a local wrecking yard. I took 'em off of that cruiser and put them on mine. I got them for like $175. Check on Craigslist in big cities near you. Go to the "auto parts" section and search for Land Cruisers. That's how I came across mine. Good luck! – M
