Hunt rig? Go bow?can hang my long bow along the roof line secured to grab handles. Or lay my recurve on the back seat and close both doors. Two guys n two w tails and camp gear no prob. Can't do that in swbyou will have all your buddies wanting to ride with you. What are your next steps? Care to share purchase details? P owner whatever

I bought the replacement covers on LSEAT, the diamond stitching was an extra 60$ so I said what the heck!:)
I really enjoy it tho, I pulled the old ones off the frames and re covered my self, all that is needed is like 10 hours, some hog rings and hog ring pliers!
Your back will be killing if you do it all in one sitting!
Paid 700 for all leather, and an apolstery shop quoted 1000 to put them on, so I just did it my self!!
really digging your leather stitching, where did you get this done?

Here's mine, well almost. Its on a ship from mainland bound for Okinawa. Just sold the hzj73 in my profile pic. The 80 will more suit my needs when I get back to the states next year.

First Land cruiser for me. 1991 FJ80. Classic little old lady down the street story, I bought it from my older neighbor after they couldn't get it to start and parked it (covered) for a year. I was walking my dogs, started talking to the owner in the street, next thing you know we had agreed on a non-running price that was too good to pass up. I came back with cash, tools, and 45 minutes later drove it back to my house. Pristine condition inside, 116k original miles, well serviced and maintained until an intermittent starting issue led it to be parked.

I bought the fj80 two years ago with bad engine and 133K on the clock, it had been in storage since 2006. Complete engine rebuild and while the engine was out decided to change the color back to the original white.

Hi all, I am new to the site and well forums in general. So consider this my formal introduction. I just purchased my LC a couple weeks ago as is described below. Looking forward to all the fun it should offer. Previous owner put a decent amount of money into it and appears to have had it cared for mechanically fairly well (and not too bad aesthetically either). Any suggestions (or links) on keeping the high mileage rig truckin are very welcome (fluid change intervals, types, regular maintenance to consider outside the norm...). Looking forward to being a leech and contributor to this informative community! (please also be paitent with my lack of forum shorthand and lingo, I will try my best to pick it up quickly :p)
