Yup, unaffected for the APUs. The Mini still leaves 5.5" of space left. With the Scout there is still three inches left and that's just to the top edge of the console. The APU sits inside the lid and even with stuff put in its also nearly flush with the edge of the lid. So plenty of space.
Exactly! I hate stuff rattling around inside any contained area. An APU with my personal valuables loaded up so they would be locked up as well would be priceless.

Well...considering there is a strip of 1mm felt between the lid and the box, there is a rust blocking foam rubber floor liner and there is 3/16" felt lined all the way around the LockBox, I don't imagine there being any rattles. That being said, I'm all for selling more APUs so...
I also did not get an invoice for the upgrade. I did get shipping notice today!

Well...poo.
I didn't have a note in the system. I think it was only here on MUD and I just didn't transfer the notation. Ugh. Your shipment was literally dropped off at Post a little while ago. When you get it we can arrange to swap it out. Unless you REALLY want to keep the Mini

Swapped out with the correct LockBox. It's nice that I've made friends with my local Post Office. Easier to remedy these types of errors.
Just did the install, and holy crap! This thing really is genius!
My buddy cancelled on me for coffee, so I thought, "No problem! I'll install the lockbox!"
Let's back up a second...
Packaging was silly it was so good. Bubble wrap in the box, wrapped in paper, and Christmas-like wrapped inside that.
Install literally took about 8 minutes (I did it in the driveway tonight, while it was dark outside, with just the dome light on).
Fit is absolutely perfect, and this thing is SLICK! I was looking forward to this product, but the very first reaction was way better than expected.
Also, Joey mentioned the springs were a fail. I couldn't get the lid to stay up on my kitchen table when I unwrapped it, but I think the slight pressure after installed changed that. It stays open just fine (not ridgid by any means, but you don't have to hold it open).
Well worth the wait Joey! I'm loving this mod!.....I just REALLY wish I wasn't so cheap and had ordered the liner for over top of it!!
Definitely worthy of an additional sticker on the rig!

...sorry interior pics are so dirty! Just got back from a wheeling trip last weekend and haven't given it a good cleaning yet...

Yeah the concealment liner would help keep it looking good and keep gunk out of the keyhole on the lock.
I can see your console actually bows in a little, that helps compression the sides that then adds just a little tension to the lid. Some will work well, some will suck. I tried. My next batch will do what I want.

Just received the package this evening. This thing is sharp; a whole lot beefier than expected! Did a test fit and my Shield fits like a glove. Will install tomorrow.
