Damn yall are working on Cruisers? I almost forgot I had two. Haven't touched either one since the Crawl. Gotta start driving the 450 again! Sorry, been a lot going on fightin' those damn Iranians!

Make sure that they are squared up after you tighten them down and then use emory cloth and fine scotchbrite to polish the plunger. Easy money.

I did the belts. They took a bit longer than I expected. I chickened out on the starter. I will do it later.

I have Janae's old starter. I replaced it with new...then found out it was the battery. Still good, as far as I know...if you want it for insurance.

Hey Guys
I am having issues with my tranny or tcase.

When i start the engine every now and then i would hear a groaning noise. no performance issues just a noise and it goes away and i have not heard it in awhile.

When I was driving today i heard a noise. Then after i stopped at a stop sign and started moving forward again, the tranny or tcase slipped.

I Say tranny or tcase because of the following scenarios:

When i tried to lock the center diff while it was in drive i heard a ratcheting whirring noise. You normally can't lock the center diff unless its in Drive or Park.

When i locked the center diff and kept the tcase in High the tranny or tcase slipped.

when i locked the center diff and shifted the tcase into Low the tranny or tcase did not slip.

So at this point i am thinking its the viscous coupler in the tcase. Fine i will get a part time kit and fix it.

But then i park it and shift it into Park, and i hear a little noise when it shifted into Park and it rolled back like it was in Neutral.. ??

Any Suggestions on what this could be?
