I dig the look and poverty pack but thought the same thing.

SA trucks are used and abused then lipstick is put on the pig to sell. Bondo and labor and cheap, so a clean looking truck could be a basket case. One of my buddies is from Bolivia and we have talked about trying to buy and import trucks but he says also sorts of “restoration” companies have popped up and you can’t find much good anymore.

The only complaint I had with the OddBall80 on the big trip was the shocks took a s*** on the trail during heavy use.

Jason at Ozark Overland Outfitters suggested these Dobinsons IMS to replace them.

Total beef. Interested to see how they do. A short test today was pretty legit

Terrible.

Parts truck! Don't know what the reserve is, but between the 80 body parts, bumper and drive train, it could be parted for a few doll hairs.

You know you want that chrome.... laces out and full 80’s rolling

Looks like this market just got a BIG shot in the arm! 176k mile, basically-stock 80. WOW! Regardless of whether you think you "need" them or not, this wouldn't have brought nearly this amount without lockers. Perception is part of the attraction, and people buy perception.

Yep. For an otherwise unremarkable truck, that's a good indication of where things might be headed. Wonder if the Hagerty ad had any influence....?

It’s a crack head market right now for everything. The prices are just incredible all around. If Berkley had not wrecked my 100 I might would have sold it already just to get her a brand new car.......

I have a question for those of you who've done radio swaps on your 80. I'm in the process of installing a new one on DaughterOfSlabsides45's ride, and I see on the wiring harness that it has a ground to the brake. If I neglect to connect that wire, will it blow the fuse, not allow me to alter settings (since it thinks I'm driving all the time) or what? Thinking I might just ground that sucker to the frame and call it good.

I connected the harnesses (bought the '84 and up harness from Scosche - Scosche TA02B - and connected everything, ran the rear camera setup, ran the wifi and gps, the crock pot and the frappuccino hookups, then plugged it in and promptly saw Fuse 10 in the engine bay blow. Mebbeh shoulda disconnected the battery before doing some of that....

Suggestions on parking brake wire and why I blew a fuse? Is it my diet?

It's my recollection that there's a wire that connects to the e-brake, because the mfr. wants it to be engaged before the driver can upload / watch your new video on TikTok. (i.e., they want the car to be stationary before the screen is in motion)

I can't speak to the reasoning behind why the fuse blew.

Thanks dnp. I figured the fuse thing was a longshot, but so was getting a high school girlfriend, and that worked out....

I'm gonna try grounding it, and if that works, I can ride down the road and watch my Hello Kitty vids at 55. Maybe 60, if there's a long downhill.

Hey y’all, I’m looking for a good 1FZ. Anyone know of any?
