Drove my 80 to work today for its maiden voyage. Other than some drive line vibrations it performed flawlessly. Its strange to be able to merge with traffic and not have it down shift twice. The power is amazing and can pull hills without down shifting. All of this is with only 50% throttle. If you put it to the floor from a stop you're at 60mph before you know it which is definitely not the norm when driving an 80. As far as the exhaust note, it reminds me of a z06 corvette. I've created a whole new animal and I love it. Who's next?
@Jtranum if you're interested in selling, how much would you take for it?

I am looking for a set of OEM 80 series high pinion ring and pinion gears for the front diff on Sherry’s rig. If anyone has a set laying around after they went to 4.88’s or 5.29’s I’d be interested. Also need a cross pin but suspect I’ll have to buy that new? Thanks
Ditto. It's got sex appeal.
Maybe CT will chime in but I don't think they are being made anymore. You gonna re-gear?Full disclosure, I was trying to copy your white 80. The 345s seem to be unobtanium though
Hey fellas, so since fixing the worn out suspension on my LX, and crazy tire rotation... my cupped tires are now no longer cupped just worn down. Theyre getting pretty bald and chunked up at the crawl. Ill be in the market in a few months or so for some tires. I have the metric 35s... 315 or whatever. Was thinking about going to a 37. Any of you guys running 850J up front and 863 rear with 37s? How does it handle? I have 4.88s by the way so it shouldnt be too much of a dog i dont think
