Those wheels are worth at least $20!

Axle is out and I didn't have to cut the housing. Sacrificed the collar and shift fork. RCV is getting a call in the morning.

Used two long bolts and a 10mm to get it out.

But twisted bad enough to render the rear locker useless.

Need some help. I have developed a real bad vibration in the LX from 40mph to 60mph. Driving around town really sucks at this point. I am thinking the joint on the d-shaft but how do I test it to see if it's the culprit? And if it turns out that is the issue do I replace with OEM or other? The backstory is I recently changed the front rotors, calipers and brake pads. Shortly after, I replaced the 33" AT's with 35" MT's. Out of nowhere this vibration started a few weeks after the tire install. I re-checked the brakes and all looks good. And I have rotated the tires with no change in the vibration. Thoughts?

Crawl under rig and try and twist the shaft to see if there is any play in the joint. Also try and move it up and down. There should be no play in the joint. If there is then that's the culprit. Hope I make sense.

Have them checked for balance before jumping into throwing parts at it. It is amazing how a thrown weight will mess up your world. To check the joints, easiest way is to just grab the D-shaft and work it back and forth to see if you have any play, but based on what you are saying if it was the joints I would suspect it would happen below 40 and above 60 as well, my money is on a out of balance tire.

I crawled under yesterday and tried to move the shafts around. No movement in any direction with either of them. I also tried to grease them but the grease was not going into the zerk. Gonna remove the zerks tomorrow to see what's up. As for the tires being out of balance, if I rotate the tires shouldn't the vibration change at least somewhat, especially if I swapped them side to side?
