I just received a new denso compressor. I'm having cooling issues when the vehicle is hot.

Ac cold in the mornings ice cold for that matter. I had the system evacuated (weighed) and my trusted shop test with gauges. They could not find an issue.

Located in southern California, ac started blowing ambient air temp while in traffic. I was bummed. Went out all night into the desert and came back in the morning. Ac was still blowing warm. Truck sat all night then the next day, then today fired it up and was ice cold...

Frustrated I have a new compressor, I can swap it out to see if that fixes it but Ill be really bummed if I still have the same issue.

For reference when it was blowing warm my engine temp was at 190° and outside temp was mid 70's. Mine seems to be an issue once the truck is running for a while.

I also have new radiator fully rebuilt motor, new heater valve, hoses etc...just can't figure out the blowing warm issue....btw the clutch does engage and disengage just fine when I cycle on and off...

What you're describing could have more than one cause, but I would suspect the expansion block. With gauges, you'll see the low side pressure drop to zero or go into vacuum when it stops cooling. I'd also make sure your fan clutch is in good shape.

Ok thanks, waiting for the system to blow warm again then I'll take it back....also I have a new blue fan clutch

Is this the best option we have today for a replacement compressor (1997 US 80)? It's a made in China Denso part.

Thx.

Any recommendations on the O-rings?

Finally got all the major parts and need to start tearing into this and then get it back together.

Thanks!

Hey guys, just another person with a ruined compressor. The shaft was flogged out and i made a quick loctite fix to keep the pulley going long enough. But the day has come to replace it.
Having trouble finding out which compressor is for me.
It's a 1991 1HDT with dual air and fridge.
I'm thinking its ment to be a 10pa17c ? If c is for short nose.
Can anyone shed some light ?

These are the numbers for the old one but seems there's numbers missing and not the original for the car. Cheers

No mounting difference between the 15 and 17 then ? And is this for a petrol engine ?

I'm not aware if the petrol and diesel engines share the same compressor.
I dunno about 15 and 17, but 15 was using for a singl AC and fridge or just AC. For us with dual AC and fridge is 17, is more powerful.
Difference between diesel and petrol is magnetic clutch and pulley and suction cap, so you should put then on new compressor, like I done

I can measure mounting on my old compressor if you need.

If you don't mind. Then I can compare with mine. Still not sure if it's worth buying the 17 yet as they're very expensive ( and kinda hard to find in australia ) an my system probly isn't the cleanest. Still tossing up whether I clean and flush and replace dryer ect

I bought my denso compressor with 170$ USD from UAE + little delivery inside county. Because it come without magnetic clutch. It has already oil for r12
