Waxed the inside of the frame and cavities under the cab and bed with four cans of this.

OEM non-abs 80-series brake lines and related hardware installed on the axles. Modified 79-series brake cable.

Made 1/2 fuel supply and 3/8’s return. Made 3/16’s rear brake frame hardline too. Second 3/16’s hard line is for axle breather. Restored the clamps for the brake lines and they got new rubber isolators. Something special is on the way for the fuel lines.

Dakota Digital has an app out for connecting your phone to the display screen and gauge cluster via Bluetooth. We played around with it a little at the end of the day, very cool and you can display 8 or 10 engine monitors at once on your phone!

So I hammered out a ton of details today with the owner. We are in final assembly now so we will be moving towards accessories soon.

The bed is getting a custom frame made and canvas for it after that. There will be a roof rack of some sort above that for mounting an RTT or for carrying kayaks/canoe ect. Roll up sides on the canvas, mounting locations on the frame for things like shovel, traction boards, ect. Power panel at the front of the bed for running a fridge and other accessories. Lights inside the bed too.

Inside we are going with mostly Department of Interior stuff. Rear cab back panel, keeping OEM door cards but adding the map pocket with cup holders and speaker pods. Big fatty overhead T console. OneStone arm rests. The head unit is from PVS in Australia as well as our steering wheel. The head unit with pair with stereo controls for the steering wheel via Bluetooth. We are experimenting with ideas for the other controls on the steering wheel. It’s getting Scheelmann seats and we will be custom fitting a Tuffy type console. The owner wants to be able to lock the center console and mount a firearm in it. Shifter surround console is the 70th anniversary. Communications is looking like ICOM 7100 which will mount in the overhead console. We have a backup camera rear view mirror from PVS. Running a SwitchPro, going to the Department of Interior ash tray mount for that. Keeping the vinyl floor and back seats which are also vinyl.

We are 3-4 weeks of work from first start and test drive!

Cheers

It's coming out great! Locally this steering wheel is a very popular pairing and then you activate cruise control also with the wheel and separate module, together with phone functions, etc on the wheel as you choose -
