lightly restored 1979 air filter housing. New paint and all hardware replaced with stainless. Decided to go with a Weber 38 so this is not needed. Housing is really nice, pictures are when it was removed from storage and is covered in dust. $200 +shipping

With all due respect, those are not the same air cleaner housings. The one your are selling is not from a 79’. The one in the yellow truck looks to be a 79’.

Well here’s my 04-1979 that went through a 6 year frame off resto. Don’t know what to tell you guys but this is the stock air filter housing on my landcruiser these are my photos in my 2 car garage where I did all the work myself. Sold the cruiser for 35k November 2016. Don’t know what else to tell y’all!

Wait a minute I might be wrong guys that might very well be off of my 78 fj40. I’ve owned and restored 4 fj40’s and 1 bj42 diesel. I found a pic of my 78 cruiser with what looks like the same air filter housing. This means that I still have a 79 filter housing somewhere in the attic! Here is a photo of the 78. I apologize for calling this a 79 if it is not, not trying to misrepresent anything I’m just trying to thin out my attic!

Yeah, the 79’s have that cad plated hockey puck thingy on the top. I can’t recall what it’s actually called.

I can see the indentation on the red one in my photo of what your talking about. I will look for it and get it posted as it’s in really nice condition as well.
