My vote is towards grey.......thats what Im leaning towards on mine when U actually paint it.:bounce:

Dune Beige 416! Looks great, keep up the good work!

One of the main issues I have is the body is not perfect, and I dont want to expose the flaws with paint :crybaby:

I feel like a dull or flat paint will help, and my 60series is Dune colored, check her out too its in my Signature

Now that we now it runs I can move onto the body issues...

Found the 2 rear quarter panels at CCOT
Found the replacement floor boards also at CCOT
Found the "Saloon Doors" at ClassicCruisers.com

All are expected to land early next week, just in time for Paint

So anyone out there have any last minute suggestions???? I think we are going gray but you never know, post up a pic and change my mind.

I forgot to mention, found the piece that has been driving me nuts for the last few weeks. The RamJet has a 3.5 inch intake and the harness has a cold air sensor that really has no place to go, so I found the part that is supposed to be "bolt on" from AFE Part Number #54-12399

It seems that 3.5 inch intake tubes are a pain to locate, hope this helps anyone out there doing a SB350 w/ RamJet.

Great build! I'm subscribed.

I'm about to start my own 350 Ram Jet installation so I'm interested in what misc parts and pieces you ended up going with. I'm currently trying to decide on a radiator and fan setup... which route did you take?

Also, great choice on the Mojaves! I love mine on the Troopy. It was worth the several months of backorder!

Thanks for the kind words man, and I'll answer any questions you have to the best of my ability.
I can't recall where I got the radiator from doh, I ordered the fan from a local parts supply, I'll try to get the name but basically it was just a single fan I think the measurements were like 14x14. I'll be posting a few pics later with all the new uodates , until then.

The rig is looking great, really like the wheels. I've been looking to get wheels similar to that as well. I think they would fit perfectly with my "new" paint job...

If you want to go with a flat (or flat-ish) paint, don't do gray, I would think it would look too much like gray primer. Depending on how dark the gray is naturally. A flat Khaki (which is what I am just finishing up) or even a flattened dune beige would look awesome with those wheels.

How's the fuel float working in that tank? I've just finished installing the same tank in mine, though I used a centriod sender. I've just managed to get the rig back up and running, and the sender seems to be having some issues, naturally after I nearly filled the tank.

Well TBH I dont know yet. We wanted to get it fired up with as minimal amount of work as possible, so we just connected and filled all the vital parts. So I used a Stock sender from CCOT, and I see no reason as to why it would give us any issues, as it is a stock peice(ish). We are in the process of tear down so we can get the rest of the body cleaned up and painted

Oh one last thing, we are going Dark grey

A few last minute additions before final mockup is completed

Got the Pedal and cable in place. I had planned on going with a lokar cable setup but literally Downey steped up and shipped me his kit  :clap::clap::clap:

Time to pull the body off now :wrench::wrench::wrench:
Wish me luck

How do you like the seats? How is the clearance etc? Leg room ok?
Nice build.. I need to stop by and take a look. I drive by there all the time...

They are all we had hoped, the only fitment issue was 2nd gear, it almost hits the seat... But we are going to change that anyway. They are great. Oh before I forget, I got 1st drive today. We had a small window to get it down to the Muffler shop, its only like 7 blocks away but it was the first real drive test since we put it all back together. With no muffler it was crazy loud, but a great ride!
