hey that looks like my truck!!! (same color calipers as mine!) you should clean it.... lol keep it up!

Just read through this build , it looks good but has been quite a while since the last update , Im very interested in seeing where its up to . I have just started dismantling my 45 series to do a body swap chassis swap engine swap ( lets just say im swapping lots ) BUT the chassis galvanising im just not sure if ill go that far but defiantly a clean and paint

Well, I guess it is time to put a few more pics up. Bullbars has motivated me to download the pics from my camera.

Got a used 4 runner PS box, cleaned it up, painted it, and mounted the power steering box.

Got the drag link shock rub problem that seems to occur with 4" lift and new shocks.

More of the drag link rub. Guess I am going to let it ride.

Engine mated to transmission. Went together with no problems which makes me nervous that I might have messed something up.

Used my "other" engine hoist to drop it in all in. I did not learn the trick to loosen the mount from the engine a little to give some wiggle room so I ended up breaking a mount which I will have to replace.

Rolled back in the shop.

I need to take some pictures of the front right mount that I broke to get some ideas on replacing it. Also, after searching, there seems to be some difference of opinion on Mud as to whether the "tab" on the square mount goes toward the motor or toward the frame.

Keep it up!!!

Been a long time since last update...you still at it? Come on! I need the motivation!:bounce:

I still have her. Not the blonde in the pic above, we got divorced about 6 months after that last post.

The 40 is in storage right now until I can get some room to work on her. Bought a house on the lake and had to condense a 2000 sq ft shop into a 2 car garage.

Thanks for the bump though. It keeps me motivated too.

Great pics of the build. Hope you get to work on it soon. What color will it be?
