I have 2 brackets if you are still looking

I will go look for them right now and update

Check the notes on this photo. Your metal glass clamp/rail has to have a nipple (pin) at each end and also a pair of sluts slots 5 or so inches away on each end. I see one nipple but I don't see the slots. Also in your photo, on the left side of you gear assembly there is a small arm that swivels and locks tail gate latch from opening when the window is up. It needs a spring and connecting rod to function wire it out. I found the brackets but they won't do any good if the sluts slots aren't there. The brackets are yours.

My photo doesn't show the pins because they are gone.

Start hunting for the spring and connect rod WITH CLIT CLIP. I got mine used from Specter Off R

The bottom spring, arm, clip are for the door lock. With the window up, the gate won't open. The window must be down. Some guys just wire it out of the way and run it. The top picture are the parts to open the gate with you pull the handle (must need).

I have what's in the top photo as my tail gate opens just fine with the handle. I'll get some better photos of inside the tailgate posted tomorrow, just to verify.

Hi all,

So I did a goof move. I removed my distributor to replace the points and forgot to take a mental note of what position the distributor rotor was in :(. Now i'm trying to find top dead center so I don't botch things up and having a hard time. I've tried jacking up the rear end and spinning the tires to get the flywheel to move to find the "BB" in view port but no luck. I guess my only option is to move the the main pully by hand or find the tool that goes in the front that would move the pully as well? picture attached of the hole in the front i'm talking about, thanks.

Tim,

remove your spark plugs to release compression before trying to turn over the motor by hand. I've used a large screwdriver on the flywheel gear and walk it around to where you need it.

Thanks for the tip scrapdaddy, I was able to turn over and find top dead center :). Now i don't get any spark :(. I've double checked my work when I put on the new condensor, rotor cap and point. The only thing not replaced in the chain was the capacitor, not driving the pig for a couple weeks wearing on me. She wants to be driven!
  • New Dizzy Cap
  • New Wires
  • New Plugs
  • New Rotor Cap
  • New condensor
  • New Point

Update
Replaced the ignition coil and still no spark. Some the wires look a little frayed i'll try replacing those next.

That would be the hand crank. Every Pig came with one from the factory, traditionally kept under the rear seat. Look there. Also, IIRC, still available from the dealer. Also not hard to find at (LandCruiser) swap meets and classifieds. Very handy to have for dropping spare tires, adjusting valves and starting the Pig when the battery dies.

Anyone on here actually started a pig with the hand crank?

I've started my Pig several times with the hand crank. Twice because I had to, a couple just to win a bet. And once another Pig, on an early Pigrun, with my crank, again to win a bet. It's much easier to start an already warm Pig than a Pig that is cold and reluctant to start
