Putting up my FJ40. It has the original factory PTO winch (winch assembly installed, gear box, driveshaft, shift level and shift level lock not installed but included). Typical rust on the body, though the doors, hood not rusted and in good shape. Original bikini top, Holley carburetor, custom stainlesss brush guard/surf fishing rack. I've fired it up a couple times in the last year though it's not running now. With the winch as part of this, thought there might be someone in this community that'd be interested. Asking $1,500.

It's a mixed bag. The hardtop sheet metal is excellent. The fiberglass cap is in solid restorable condition. The driver side and passenger side doors have no rust through. The dash is uncut, all the controls are there and the pads are crack free. Original paint is still shiny on many interior surfaces. Missing one jump seat. Front seats need foam and recovering but are there and usable.

The barn doors and hardtop hatch have a few rust holes but they are most definitely repairable. The tub, however, is a total basket case. Cavernous holes everywhere---rockers, floors, wheel wells, quarter panels--- all toast.

I haven't assessed the engine yet but its appearance suggests that it has been well maintained. We'll see. Clutch reservoir is dry. Brake reservoirs are full and the pedal is high. Parking brake mostly works too. Transmission or transfer case is seeping, but otherwise remarkably clean underneath.

Besides the tub rust, the biggest downer is the frame rust. I will need to employ the services of a professional welder to address at least two decomposing spring hangers and perhaps a couple other questionable stress points.

Overall this is a relatively unmodified, mostly original rig that seems to have been mechanically well maintained by its two or three previous owners but which also appears to have been subjected to more than its fair share of either road salt, sea salt, or both.

Thanks for the feedback, it looked unmolested and well worth the gamble from here.

If u decide to sell let me know. I have a rust free '72 tub and rolling chassis. Looking to pair it with one that has all the parts.
