Hello; reaching out to see who would carry body panels from 86 FJ75, primarily looking for interior driver side floor panel and roof. Working on getting some rust remediated.
Toyota for the roof but shipping will probably be a bit steep. There’s places in Australia where you can get I believe are aftermarket floor panels

Thanks will check it out, any specific websites
Retro Spares in Australia, they also have replacement floor pans, quarter panels etc on ebay

Recently had some work done to my 78 Prado by Peter Merriam of Merriam Automotive. A plus service - Did not overcharge, was honest and an overall great guy. Will definitely use him in the future. Hes a Landcruiser EXPERT if there ever was one.

Not really sure of the appropriate place for this post but let’s try here.

We have ordered a Smartcap for a 79-series double cab.

Through the process RSI who manufactures these in South Africa has told us they can supply the other Land Cruiser 70-series product line as well as the DC version via special order here in the USA. We had to get an account with their main USA distributor in order to bring in the one for the DC 79.

So anyways if you are interested in getting one of these or any of their 70-series beds/caps let me know.

Cheers

Definitely interested in a cap for my FZJ75. What's you preferred method of communication?

Cheers, James

Looking for help. I tried to DIY Pertronics electronic ignition. Replaced the distributor hooked it all up and it wont fire. I’ve never done timing or gapping plugs. Didnt think it would be such a head scratcher but i dont know what i dont know. I dun messed it up. Anyone want to make a house call in Glendale AZ ? Im paying cash weather you make it run or not. Just looking for some help.

Anybody have a shop in the Hudson Valley in NY they like? Beek's Auto in Gardiner is great, but he's not a cruiser specialist. Would like to find somebody more comfortable with offroad setups.

Nova Speed Shop, Manassas, Virginia. just changed the head, brkes and rotors on all four corners. they specialize in JDM street cars but they have worked on JDM cruisers in the past. they even have a couple of 70 series prados in the back. they dont have too much experience with mechanical diesels like my hzj77 so im currently looking for a diesel tech around the same area to do fuel timing reset. they told me they do have a bit of experience with modern computerized diesels though. i will bring it in again when i need to change the rear seal. awesome staff.

Edit as of 3/24/26,

i brought the HZJ77 back in because after extensive research, they wanted to tackle the fuel timing reset themselves. well, they did and i have to say that they did a superb job on fuel timing. i've had it back and have daily driven it for the past couple weeks and i just have to say that they did an awesome job! she's running like a champ. they told me that fuel timing for a mechanical JDM diesels is something they can now confidently offer in the future. so i wanted to let anyone in the NOVA area know that Nova Speed Shop in manassass can and will work on the fuel system. they already have two prados in their shop for fuel system repairs. this is awesome news because now i have a go to shop in my area for future repairs. i plan on bringing it back for my rear main seal and to convert from r12 to r134a, both of which they said they can do.
