OK. A bit more progress.
A dear friend gave me 4 rims (I think Africa specs) and 295/75R16 KO2 were installed. Looks/price is infinite.
AC lines are done. All electrical for the AC is done with OEM parts (except the AC switch).
Intercooler had to be chopped again on top so the hood will not touch it. $40 TIG welding, and no guts no glory on the table saw... I really messed up on this one.

working on the back sound insulation. 5 layers in the cab, 4 in the back.

Seat bracket and BMW M5 manual seats with seat warmer. Disconnected the air bags. 😀

Also installed the main battery and checking the electrical systems.

Been working on electrical and came to a stop. The head lights don't work, and the reason is that the main Light Control Switch C15 pin 4 delivers the ground but the head light relay pin 3 is not getting it and it's also a thin Red/Green wire not Red/white that is coming from the main switch. My diagram shows different, and I wonder if any of you has a EWD that shows the split (my guess in a connector). I don't know which year is the harness but it came from Europe.

I did figure it out... It goes to a daylight relay/logic D2 connector in the manual. I'll have to jump between 2-3 terminals to get the ground connected. It's in the 'light duty' section.... Who needs daylight headlights???

DRL are for North America I don’t use them … looking forward to see the results on sound detonations

Today I picked the AluCab Hercules popup roof from my friends shop. Was in storage there for a while. We used Ravi’s 62 series winch to take it off the roof rack.

2x6 boards are supporting it on the rig. I have to find a way to pull them out as well as the cardboard. We used a winch to lift it from the 40.

The cardboard they get shipped in is almost as bulky and awkward as the top. But, works great at protecting everything.
I know but now the 250 lb is sitting on the bottom cardboard and that is sitting on the two 2x6 and I am by myself. I will need 4-5 friend to come and help me lifted. Easiest way it to put 4 hooks on the 2 tracks on top of the roof and lift it again with the winch but I’m not sure these tracks are rated for this.

I have an Alu innovations top, and lifted it by a 4 point harness from the track. I realize the tracks could be mounted differently to the top, but mine was a mix of through bolts and rivets, so I had no concerns. Even if just rivets the load is spread nicely along the tracks. I actually lifted mine with a rope reeved through a 4 part purchase block and tackle, hanging from a 2x6 under my house. It was a little sketchy, but only because I was by myself 🤣

New OEM glass and weatherstrip installed today.

Got the hooks for the tracks on the roof. They were too thick to fit so I had to grind them a bit. Are there different sizes?
Checked with AluCab and I can lift from there. Maybe this weekend 15 tubes of Sika...

Big day today. AluCab mounted. Since the body never had the roof installed (and cut) and was deformed, we spent 2 hours trying to fit it, grinding a bit the bottom, and slightly bending to widen the roof. It was stress initially but at the end I'm satisfied. Could not have done it with out help of friends and family. We used the winch of the 40 for the heavy lifting.

On a different note, some have asked me about the heater. It's a great deal and does not require much more to complete the system. It provides instatant hot water and heating the cab/tent.

What sealant did you use on the top?

Sika 221 white. That thing is like monkey s*** sticks to everything within 10’. You need patience. I had a friend apply it. He has dealt with it in the past many times.

Added another layer of sound barrier and a vinyl marine grade floor designed for decks of boats. It's about 1/10" thick and will be attached by the cabinets on both sides pressing on it. It is stiff unlike the cheap home Depot stuff.

Most important... FIRST START!!!!!
