First post! Thanks to all the long term forum members for all the amazing information on here. I purchased my first '06 LX470 about 1 month ago and have been thoroughly enjoying it. Wouldn't have been possible without this site and reading through the FAQ's. I was wondering if this even is open to newcomers like myself? Would love to head over that way come July to get to be a part of the community and this event.

Completely open to brand new comers! I bought my 06 LC in june of 2013 and was driving it at the 3rd HIHs in august of that same year still with temporary tags(no plates). All I had added for the trip were A/T tires, sliders and CB radio.

It's ABSOLUTLY open to newcomers!

I'm in. Another newbie to the 100 community having been from the Toyota mini truck for several years. Now with a family I'm happy to be in my first 100 - a '98 LC, bone stock aside from 285/75/16 AT's. Look forward to my first 100's in the Hills - that is, if I can make the registration...

I should be able to join y'all. Anyone coming from the southeast region? Caravan?
Coming from New Orleans buddy. :) Had two others from LA meet up in Texas last year and we caravaned from there onward. Hit me up.

I love me some Colorado. I am asking for leave next shift. Gotta check with the wife and kiddos schedule. May be just me and the wife...I will be coming from Texas. Awaiting registration.

I have a question, what all should we bring? I've never been on a trip like this. I will be renting a pop up camper due to having my 4 year old and girlfriend with me. So far my list includes:

-HAM radio
-CB
-Food
-Water
-Rain gear
-Cold weather gear
-Camera
-Folding chairs

What else is recommended?
