I really hate to do this, but I'm trading my 40 for two kids. I need to get something safe a practical for carrying a newborn and a two year old around. I will get another 40 when they are older but this is what I have to do for now.

-2002 5.3 vortec v8 out of a silverado (20,000 miles)
-rebuilt 700r4 mated to the 3spd t-case with advance adapter
-OME springs
-(5) 17" pro comp wheels w/ 33 x 12.5 mickey thompson MTZ
-P/S
-P/B hydrolic
-Hooker chrome headers with new exhaust
-t-max 6500lb winch
-all new glass and gaskets
-pioneer cd player
-hard top and soft top with both sets of doors
-poly tank

Everything works good and rides great. It runs down the highway doing 80mph @ 2600rpm. The body looks great until you get close and see around the rocker panels some of the bondo did not adhere to well and is starting to bubble. Everything else looks good.

I would really like to get at least $10,000 out of it but willing to negotiate. I will probably get an 80 series or a tahoe for now till I can jump back into a 40 again. So if anyone has something like that to trade let me know.

I do have one offer right now I am considering (99 tahoe w/ $4800) but would rather sell it to someone in the club. So this may only be on here a few days.

interested. Hows the interior? jump seats? body besides rocker panels? very interested and ready to go with cash... Rotor.wash@yahoo.com for pics...

pics sent

I sent some pics to your email. The tub could use a good rhino liner and a dash pad. the seats are nice and comfortable. The body has some small dings here and there but nothing major. Overall pretty good condition. I don't have the jump seats but can get them pretty easy if you really wanted them.

There is a guy that sounds pretty interested that is coming by later today. I will let you know if it is sold.

Thanks,

no lockers

Sorry, no lockers. I have only been on one light trail. I'm not a climber and I built this more for the road. That's the only reason I didn't SOA. I just want to keep it nice and do a little playing here and there.
I'm more of a mountain biker and that's where most of my time goes. I usually bike to work and it just sits in the garage. It's been about 1-1/2yrs since the swap and I have only put 4800 miles on it since.

may consider the trades

TaosMesa, I would like to see some pics of the '94. How much are you asking.

DieselFumes, looks like a great looking whip but I'm not too interested in that nice of a vehicle right now.

I need to get some money out of a trade to
a: get a new road bike ($1000)
b: pay of rest of debt ($1800)
c: put money down for newborn coming in May

I get a lot of PM's about the interior. It didn't look the best inside but I cleaned it up a bit.

Good luck with the sale looks like a good ride!

Good luck with the sale looks like a good ride!
Thanks. It is a very fun ride. I work with a group of guys that are in a local jeep club and they say it is BA. Hard to imagine coming from Jeep heads.

I had a 94 80series with 280,000 miles on it and other than regular maintenance I replaced a seal in the hub. That was it. I even had a guy side swipe me once and it totaled his car. I got a couple chips in the paint on my brush guards.

Good luck with your sale also. Sometimes practicality can be a B&!@#

weekend bump.
Haven't heard back from TaosMesa. Not making the trade with the tahoe guy. it was not in the condition he told me it was.

Anyone??

right now it does not have a rear seat in it but I can get my hands on a new set of the jumps seats or the confer seat if you wish.

here is a couple pics of the soft top on and the 7 function light bar on the rear.

What size bike do you ride? and do you prefer carbon or steel? I work at a shop and have access to some pretty sick frames/bikes depending on your size. Think Seven , IF , Sycip, Soulcraft etc. Full Xtr or Dura Ace gruppos and sick parts collection of my own if you prefer

What would be your price/starting point on sale of this outright (so i can work my way backward on bikes) if that interests you?

also-whats your current bike ? setup? (so i can find something ALOT nicer).

I have an 80-but would prefer to keep and purchase yours plus cash plus bike if u have interest?

I also have access to a friends 80 (white-94-stock w.225k in suprising shape-no codes and all pm already done)

I was planning on getting at least $10k out of it but can't figure out why it hasn't sold yet. I guess the market right now just sucks. I was getting in a rush to sell it because I found another vehicle that I wanted to buy, but now that I have decided against it I'm going to slow down a bit.

This weekend I planned on building a spare tire carrier with a cooler rack and hopefully getting a rear seat put in. I do have a lot going on this weekend (b-day parties and hopefully a fishing tournament) so we will see how much gets done.

As of right now I don't have a road bike. My size would be between 58cm - 60cm. I am more of a trail rider so I bought a Gary Fisher Rumblefish one and love it. But when conditions are muddy I usually hit the road. I don't want to tear up components in the mud. And it is much easier to ride to work on a road bike.

Well I thought it was sold again but the guy turned out to be a flake. Sorry to the people I told it was sold. If you are still interested let me know. If you really want it I will only hold it for you if you put money down in advance. I can't be a nice guy anymore and hold it for whoever anymore. I have been screwed over too many times and I just can't do it anymore. I did not keep any of the PM's so I can't get back to any of you. So I'm just going to put it back to the top and see what happens.

Price drop

Anyone interested for.... Nevermind:(

SOLD

Sorry everyone, the 40 has found a new home. I am still keeping contact with the new owner. He is doing a few mods that I am helping him out with. I am glad that it has gone to a good home and am relieved that someone is taking good care of it.

Thanks,
