171k mi, Front/Rear LOCKERS! Stock, clean Carfax Florida street driven truck, no rust what-so-ever, the original body panels & Pearl White with Silver Blue trim original paint in great condition except for the fender flares are fading clear coat, (cheap and easy fix, that I may do.)

Tan on Brown Interior, front seats could use a recover on the bottom, but they are comfortable. 3 rows of seats, there is a bleach stain in the very back of the carpet. The Driver and passenger front seats do not move back and forth. The passenger rear window does not go down, the top of the steering wheel leather is worn, and the windshield squirter squirts the front and rear windows at the same time. Radio Antenna does not go up and down. Plenty of posts on how to fix these items here on MUD, just haven't had time to address as they are minor and do not bother me.

New Front/Rear Brake Rotors with Ceramic pads, Fluids changed, wiper blades, Michelin tires with probably less than 2-3 oil changes on them, the rubber nips are still on the tires, matching spare. Cold A/C and Hot Heat. Newer Toyota Battery, air filter.

Original Window Sticker for $53k Lots of maintenance records, but not all, the truck was serviced at Panama City Toyota throughout it's life and sold new there then resold there a couple times.

Runs GREAT! Drives strait, stops strait, shifts good, quiet, smooth, plenty of power, 12.6-14.4 mpg, no taps, smoke or blow-by, oil stays clean throughout the 3000 mi changes but does have a very minor oil leak have not figured out where but it might drip 1-2 drops every other day, hardly enough to notice but I am OCD about leaks.

Not sure if the Head gasket or PHH have been done, unsure of birfs, but I am sure it would not hurt to over-maintain a Land Crusher with some Preventative maint but at this time I do not feel the need for it.

AHHHH the story goes, I bought this truck for my Mother for Christmas to have a larger vehicle than the PT Cruiser she currently drives (as we takes care of my disabled father and Grandmother...) The Landcruiser is easier for them to get into than the PT, but Mom is the driver and says it's too big, (even though she always drove my LC100 and loved it, so I thought she would like this) Now I have 3 vehicles... I like this truck alot, but I have my DD MPG car and my Troopy so, this has gotta go, along with my Troopy and the PT Cruiser, just gotta find a car Mom likes that works better for the family. LS430 maybe?

Give Mom the Camry, keep the 80.

Ha!

I was just talking to her about what she wants to drive and be happy with, she says... "Maybe I should drive the Cruiser some more...." And see if she gets used to it. Jeeze!

I would love to drive the 80 over the Camry, heck i'd like to keep em all, however, driving 400+mi per week for work, so $45/week ($2340/yr) in the Camry or $120+/week ($6240/yr) in the 80. Not to mention maintaining costs on a Camry vs 80 with the amount of miles I drive. It adds up and is simply a cost of business for me. Would rather put that money into the Troopy. Believe me, I want the lockers and can utilize the functionality of the 80, this is the first 80 I have ever been around and it is truly a remarkable vehicle that's why I have been driving it for the past 2 weeks, I like it, and in this 80 I see a cool-a$$ dd with a lift etc that is very capable, I wish mom would take it, and that way I can still get a hold of it in the future. But I can't afford to get her something else with all these vehicles, nor do I want to take care of another vehicle (4 now.)

Someone will be real happy if they want a stock 80 ready to go!

Where are my Mud manners..... Guess I wasn't thinking right.

$7900 bump

Someone local is looking at buying it and doesn't even know what lockers are or what they do. Couldn't understand the explanation either. Why I should care, don't know, but the fact that this totally capable truck just pounds the pavement is down right wrong! But that is probably why it's still nice and strait. Mom still will not drive it even after say she would today to try it out. Oh well.

Mom's can be funny.

My mom LOVES the Discoveries I've given here to drive! I bet she'd like the LC too but I bet the visibility for parking is easier in the Disco due to narrower body and seating arrangement.

However, I think the next vehicle for her will be a wagon (Volvo xc70, Subaru Outback, Audi Allroad, or in that vein of large-ish awd wagons)

More to the point: Does a '97 LC have front-side air bags, head curtain, or just front dash and steering wheel airbags?

Just has the front air bags, no side ones. Not sure if they were avail on 97?

I took it to one of 2 body shops in town to check on painting the fender flares and he said he would RR them with new molding rubber & match the paint for $400 if the peeling clear coat is an issue.
