1966 fj45 lwb chevy 350

1966 fj45 lwb located in bozeman mt, chevy 350 and landcruiser 3 speed on the floor. I love this truck, and it has alot of potential. I've got over 12,000.00 in this truck, and It's for sale for 7500.00 My number is 406-580-9863 and I can deliver a reasonable distance (like 800 miles or less) for a reasonable fee to cover fuel etc. This cruiser has surface rust mostly, and a few small areas have progressed. This is a great candidate for restoration and I believe it would not be very hard to put a toyota 6 cylinder back into it. All weatherstripping on the doors is new except vent windows, and the brakes are all new as well including master/ wheel cylinders. Drivelines are new as well. This truck runs and drives great, it just needs the tlc that I don't have time and or money for anymore. It needs a new radiator, and the exhaust should be redone. I would recomend power steering and ramshorn manifolds. It has the advance adapters headers, which I believe generate extreme underhood heat. If you leave it idling for a while the temp starts to creep up. The most important thing to me is that it goes to a good home. I would not buy it unless I was a capable mechanic, as the costs of paying someone else to work on it would be great. Any questions post them here and i will try to answer so everyone can see.

Would this be the same one that's listed in the mini knickle for $7500??????????

7500.00 was what I put in my local newspaper as my bottom dollar. I have tried to sell this cruiser around here, but nobody even has replied. My starting price online is 9000.00 It takes alot of time to send e mails back and forth to many people who most times arent even serious, they just want some pictures and to pick your brain. If anyone is serious make an offer.

Not for sale anymore

I'm taking this truck off the market. I'm not gonna give it away. You guys know it's worth more than 7500.00 I'll delete thread in a few days. Thanks to 3_puppies for telling the whole world about the add in the mini nickel. That was just an attempt to see if anyone around here would even call. Since he saw the add and didn't call that tells me he was never interested in buying it , just causing me to get less money for it. Thanks to the people who were serious.

. I'm not gonna give it away.

I ended up giving away my fully restored 64 swb with non removeable top about 4 years ago. The thing was brand new from frame up and had a v-8 conversion. I took $7600 for it because I commited myself to buy a freakin Harley. Trucks that needed fully restored were going for more than I could get offers for. I just don't understand the market on these things...

Good luck with your sale.

What's the big Deal!!

So let's see, you ran the add for $9000.00 here which seems like a fair asking price but ran it in your local paper for $7500.00. Now your upset because someone here saw your local add and mention it. What's the big deal? I'm thinking you would have taken $7500.. from a local so why not $7500.00 from a Mudder, there's no need to make a big deal about it, if you need the cash, repost your bottom line at $7500.. and you'll sell your truck. I guess you can try Ebay or Craigslist and ask $9250....

Regards

Lou

1-I don't think it's worth that much
2-I'm not going to let you screw fellow members here by jacking up the price for
more than you had it listed locally.

Wasn't trying to screw anyone, I just started higher so I would have negotiating room figuring I'd end up at my "bottom dollar". The only reason I said anything is that I had no bargaining room left. I put my bottom dollar in the mini nickel cause local people can come over and see it for themselves, drive it all of their questions will be answered. Didn't mean to piss anyone off.

I see with only 7 posts that you're new to mud, and I hope you don't think people are coming down too hard on you, but you just need to realize that MUD is a big happy family that takes care of each other. You seem like a nice guy, you just need to shoot straight and be positive, and you'll get along great here. But when fellow Mudders feel that you're trying to gouge their family members they're going to get a little bent, and maybe come down on you. We're all Cruiserheads and need as many of us to enjoy the forum as we can, so if and when you decide to re-post the truck... shoot straight, be honest and give fellow Mudders the same deal as anyone on the street, and I think you'll find a great group of people willing to consider it.

I personally agree with 3 puppies, Paul's a great guy and he knows his Cruisers! I viewed the pics and I wouldn't give 9k for it, I think $7500 is a stretch, but that's just my opinion...

I hope you don't turn away with a bad taste in your mouth, give MUD a chance and I think you'll agree with me that this is the greatest group on Earth!!

Take Care!

all right 7500 takes it

O.K you guys the most important thing is for this cruiser to go to a good home. I don't have the interest/ drive to continue on with this truck. I need to sell it and it seems like this site is the best place to find a person who will take good care of it. This really is a great 45 and if the 350 scares people I think you could put a 6 cyl back in it pretty easily if you had a donor truck. Or I would consider selling it without the engine. It's pretty fun with the 350 though.
