Thinking of selling my 62 this upcoming year, and going to a 100 series. The truck is great, but for my future needs (towing, long trips) I wont have the time or money to do an engine swap anytime soon with the 62. I want to continue with a 100. Good/bad idea?

I can tell you the drive to Rausch/AOAA at 06:00 would be a lot nicer in a Hundy.

Running 75mph in the 62 has become unnurving and fatiguing. Really don't think mine would do well in a panic situation either.
Or, I'm just gettin' old.

How much do you need to tow?

Wife wont "camp" so I need to get a camper (something that has a bathroom in it) I may eye up a 5.3 to swap in.

Pick the camper that she will actually use first. Then the tow vehicle. The 100 tows our 2800# trailer good but not great.

Depending on weight a later model 100 with the VVT and 5 speed tranny and a mild build would be a good choice. If it's a big trailer you'll want to look at the 200 with the 5.7 engine.
