maybe I shouldn't carry soooooo much junk in 'da trunk, lighten the load a bit instead of being the good boy scout prepared for Armagedon..... then again, everytime I leave something at home, it's the one time I need it....

who is this Murphy guy and who does he think he is writting laws like that? ;)

Thanks for posting up my evil deed Zach - good for a post mortem.

Speaking of surgery, is their a (body) doctor in the house? For some reason, I don't think this one will "buff" out :crybaby:

The Wookie will ride again, albeit a bit more safely next time -- when you do the rock love, you gotta wear the slider glove ;)

For the love of a starter motor,

Cool trail, sounds like you had a blast It's nice to see how the open diff 60's and 40's did in that situation, that shows how strong are our vehicules!!

dogboy it's time for some sliders!!! And forgot to say that your video is sick!!!!! nice way to climb that trail!!

Brokenparts,

Sweet vids, pics, and trip report. Thanks. Thanks also for your guidance on the trail. Made the event more fun for us rookies.

On this trip I learned that sliders are more for covering existing damage than for preventing new damage. My virgin rocker is toast. Much worse than Dogboy2's.

Lockers and sliders are definitely in my future.

The diesel does sound pretty cool. I hear that from a lot of people, but since I drive it I don't get to hear it.

Schweet!!!

I feel really bad for you guys and your rockers.... try to think of your new rock rash as "badges of honor" which any worthy trail rig collects over time :) . My rockers got so bad over time that I finally just hacked them off. Mine got a couple new badges on the last part of FB5 where you guys went around.... man it was tight!

glad I went around the last part then!

dogboy- bring it by for a day and I would be more than happy to help bring back the bling on your cruiser, you too mtngoat.

also let me know if you guys want too build some sliders. I think I am going to get off my butt this month and start working on some.

on a side note can someone host some pics for me? my webhost is not working right now. pm me to let me know

Thanks Clint, I appreciate it - didn't know you do body work. Another outing is a definite must, after some additional mods on my end. ;)

Good meeting you and your lovely family and hope fun was had by all.

Thanks Clint. You do bodywork?

Sliders? I'm in. Know anyone that can bend tube?

Clint,
If you are going to build some sliders let me know. I work at a metal fab shop that allows us to buy steel for pretty cheap. Maybe I can help. Let me know. We dont have a tube bending machine though. I can get stuff cut. My welding isnt to bad either:grinpimp:

Building sliders? Good prices on steel and good welding? I have very near future plans of sliders, and was thinking on getting the Trail Gear Sliders....however....if a build day is in the works here...:grinpimp::bounce:

OOHH!
I hear the Sunset Strip is quarter beer night on Mondays.:D

Haven't personally been there, but I hear it's one of the better clubs in town, and the best one on the west side. Quarter beers huh?! I'm sure it's just a marketing ploy to get guys to come in there. What else would bring em in?

This thread is quickly vernturing away from Toy Tech....;p

I can get metal pretty cheap too. My brother works at a pipe bending company, but mostly commercial (like i-beams for bridges and stuff) It is too expensive for them to do small jobs. But, that's where I can get the metal. He said anytime.
Let me know what y'all need. I would love to build sliders too. No skills on that front though. Time to learn!!!

Never been there either, married with baby. Not my first choice when I get the chance to go out you know.
Anyway, the beers are small, but I have friends that walk there and get drunk for under ten bucks (Not light wieghts either).
Slider build- (keeping it tech)

Sliders? I know this is the 60 section, but how about for a 40? That rock that took out Dogboy and Mtn Goat's rockers was close to mine also. We could have a big slider building party! I'll bring the frosty cold beverages! Let me know.

it was great meeting you as well. I look forward to meeting your family sometime soon.

sssshh, don't tell anyone but yes I can do bodywork.

I hear you on the mods, I am working on a locker right now and like I posted earlier I have a few ideas in mind for the sliders. Suppose I will get going on those this week, or next..
