I was painfully aware by the end of this trip that I was not as gentle with the throttle as the rest of the group  Need a bit more time off road to learn to slow things down a bit! :D

thanks again for the trip and pics!

lol... I think you made my butt pucker a little bit on the last part of that hill. In person it looked like you were goin over but you did the right thing and turned the wheels and powered out of it. Had you hit the brakes it may have been another story.

Here's Dogboy... if surgery needed to be performed in the back of a 60, I'd choose dogboy's rig.

hahahaa butt pucker huh? we were laughing so hard at my son laughing in the back my wife and I could hardly keep an eye out for the rocks to avoid, before I knew it the hill was just a memory.

I do feel bad for dogboy his rig was immaculate.

If you listen in the background you can here my 2 y.o. son yell "bump it" when dogboy was attempting the last rock. the poor kid was so upset he hit the rock it was classic.

Sorry I missed this run. Looks like a good time was had by all. Im jealous. Maybe I will see everyone at the poker run if I can get my sh*t together. When is the deadline anyway?

one last bonus video of "erik_d_lux" from Pirate 4x4 and other sites. This is an area of Tillamook State Forest called the "crushers". Its called that for a reason...it separates the men from the boys. Eventually I'll wander down there but for now I'll leave it for the truggy and buggy guys. Again, the video does no justice to how steep it is or the size of the rocks.

I remember getting talked into a rock garden like that my first year at Tellico. I never was there before and the guy from BudBuilt sand bagged me and my buddy. Turned out to be an all day event. I ended up getting dragged off the trail with 3 winches....

But I went back better prepared about a year later and ended getting thru it unscathed.

I,ve taken the same trail a few times I think. Looks like firebreak five? at Browns. Can't remember the name? I had good rockers and rear quarter till the last time I went there.. Oh well. Glad to see everyone made it through and back home without too much damage.
P.S. That trail is a lot of fun stock with 31's!!!!:D

SWEET VID BRO ... that vei ate sounds SWEET ... fawk now I want one ;) were you in just low or stupid low ???

I was in stupid low... probably didnt need to be but I wanted to see how it slow it was. :) The small block is always a bonus.... nice to have when I need a little something extra too. :) I can't even express how nice the auto is when wheelin. I'll never wheel with anything else but an auto again.

No problems with tires slipping or anything. Just had to spend a little time at the bottom picking my line and go for it. On this front lockers (theyre in the future) would be nice. With the locker, could stop and readjust line as I go. The tree and boulder at the end are VERY INTERESTING with open diffs, 31, and no lift. But we made it through with a stock height soild axle first gen runner, a FSJ Cherokee, a lifted FJ Cruiser, and of course my 60 (Which does the best I might add.)

Hey Brokenparts,
Awesome pics and clips!
Its amazing that the tub looks SMALL in comparison to the tires...
It almost looks like a jacked up 4runner!
Nice job!
Im glad that everything worked out!

Thanks for sharing!

Oh now that's going to leave a mark....

Thanks for posting up my evil deed Zach - good for a post mortem.

Speaking of surgery, is their a (body) doctor in the house? For some reason, I don't think this one will "buff" out :crybaby:

The Wookie will ride again, albeit a bit more safely next time -- when you do the rock love, you gotta wear the slider glove ;)

For the love of a starter motor,
