You still got a 40?

Good call!

Mission change, going 5.3/auto

The guy that runs the tranny shop next to Rob is plugged in good with the local salvage folks. He helped me find a T400 case once.

Jeep guy. Can't remember his name.

Like I suggested to Cam. eBay is a great source for low mile 5.3/tranny combos.

I don't know how far you are from Paragould, AR, but this is the guy I bought mine from. http://www.americanpickupsalvage.com

He sells on eBay, but call him and tell him what you need and get it direct. Cash in hand gets a better deal, too.

Not only do I need 3.73 third members but I also need a good non emissions 2F carb and exhaust manifold
I just pulled two OEM thirds out of my 60 with 154K miles. The rear feels like it has a bit of play and the front feels good. They are in Conway, AR. They are about 70lbs a piece to ship or I can bring them to the Cruiser Crawl.

I also have a Jim C rebuild and de smogged Aisin carb. It ran very rich on my engine. I don't know what he does to bench test them but I am pretty pissed off about it after spending that much to get it rebuilt. I was going to order new jets for it thinking maybe he or the previous owner screwed them up. I bought a Trollhole carb and it works great so I haven't messed with the Aisin since I have other things to do.

Seriously? This is very disappointing to hear. Have you told Jim? I'm sure he will make it right but understand that you have it sorted with one if Marshal's carbs and don't want to change again. Still...

I've been ignoring it because I was pretty irritated that the $250 Chinese carb worked great. I cannot message him on IH8MUD. He seems to block messages. I will send him a quick Email. He seems hard to get a hold of.

I would like to get the carb working since I spent $350 to get a rebuild. Wouldn't hurt to have the Trollhole as a spare and use the Aisin.

Tony, sent an email & left a VM.
Thanks for the call. I've been busy so I hadn't had a chance to test it again. I will get with you when you get back from vacation and we can see what is going on.

Cleaning up the front axle parts today and I have a question. Should I pack the hub selectors with grease just like everything else? Also, in regards to all of the paper hub gaskets, should I use them dry or put some sort of RTV on them?
