Great question. Love the stuff you make for 80s.

Door card speaker covers are a pretty commonly broken/missing plastic piece. Not sure if they’re already in production. Last time I looked I couldn’t find them.

Also rear door ash tray's are pretty useless. Interior/puddle light or usb charger location?

Rear seatbelt retainers that hold the buckle out of the way? Kinda like these on another car (second pic). Would be nice to be able to fold the seat up and down without going to the other side to move the seatbelt out of the way.

Here are some parts that I tooled up in the past two months. The fuse cover is available in dark grey, but we will do all four colors, dito with the 4wd transfer switch, with and without printing. The second pic, bottom is the Fj62 A/C Bezel Blank, top right corner is the bottom cover for the European Style Side View mirrors. Ignore the other three, they are for the 40 series crowd...

The 60 series A/C Dash bezel was being made by Chase, in a modified form. Their will always be demand for customization TRF can't fulfill. I think he stopped. Someone should pickup that mantel.

My intent isn't to step on what you are doing, rather share what I'm working on to reduce duplicity. So many projects to execute and not enough time and capital. It will take a village to reproduce the entire 60...

This may be a long shot but I need the plastic C pillar trim pieces that cover the seat belts for the FJ62. I've converted my 60 to using 62 style shoulder belts and I cannot find these parts out of a 62. Any chance you have access to one of these and could 3d print a copy?

@Lucky1386 has one I can borrow after he stops by the central valley crucible to grab them.

Other things I have tooled up are:
Front Seat covers at the pivot point, where the upper and lower parts meet, plus the handle
FJ60 Gauge Cluster
FJ62 Gauge Cluster
Front Seat Belt Bolt Covers at the B-Pillar
FJ40 Vent from heater box that sits across the transmission hump
13B-T Upper T-state housing

I pivoted in the past year from part time to full time, drained the 401k, and started tooling up. That's all that I have planned for 2026

Oh i see....best of luck

sure wish I had a 401k to drain..
Same haha.

@TRFarmers Seat Belt Planet sends seat belt bolt covers with their belts, it may be worth investigating that route before dumping money into that product. I guess I'm suggesting that if you can figure out their supplier, it might be cheaper to source from them since the manufacturing already exists. FWIW their covers are nearly identical to the originals and they fit both the SBP belts and the original belts, but only come in black. The original covers also fit both the original belts and the SBP belts - everything is completely interchangeable. For example I have original Toyota brown covers on the SBP belts to cover the pillar bolts.

Yes I am fortunate. Now I don't have a 401k, which based on my up bringing is freaking me out... But that's a conversation best had with my therapist.

@CruiserTrash Thanks for the heads up. Seat belts are slated for 2027 to be interchangeable with OEM bits... Building out the ancillary, before taking the final plunge. Also to your point Black is all they offer. So many vehicles Toyota made during this period aren't black. Basically 50% of sedans and mini trucks in the 80's. The rapid prototypes versions are fine, if you get everything to mate up on the first click, otherwise the living hinge breaks. Perhaps new additive processes will address that bit...

Yes, SBP only provides them in black. If you found their supplier and they were open to working with you I'm usre they could use whatever color pellets you wanted them to though.

Are you suggesting you'll be making entire seat belt assemblies in the future?

That's the plan. I have a five year product launch plan. It changes every six months as solutions present themselves in the market or customers create a compelling reason to execute a different item. 100 series items have already started making the long term list.
