Without totally derailing this thread lol, the 60 series is objectively worse in nearly every single way...not even a matter of taste, just a fact. They are pretty though, no question about that.

yeah, man! That discussion is a rabbit hole! I wish I could own every series, which is one reason (among many) why the 80 coil setup on a 60 is so compelling

Went to camp this weekend, my most favorite place in the world to be. Still some snow but made it in without having to lock the hubs.

Day Trip, Pt Hardy on Vancouver Island.

That's a long day trip from Ladysmith!

I finally have a photo to post here. I drove it about 200 km all over Vancouver (including a stop at EBI land cruisers in Port Coquitlam) then took the ferry and drove up to the Courtenay area from Nanaimo. It runs! Only problem is a bad front shimmy above 60 km/hr (totally new suspension on the way when I get the $ together) and a power steering leak near the reservoir somewhere. She's a diamond in the rough.

Yeah, left at 5:30 home by 3:30 but got stopped for construction for quite a while north of Campbell R.
500 miles is about 150-200 short of a normal long day for me. I’m always curious as to why you’d spend the ferry money when you could head up into the interior mountains? How was it by the way? Stay in car in effect? Bad shimmy at that speed = upper and lower knuckle bearings. If it’s that old and used they will probably just fall out in your hand when you take it apart. Get a good kit, make sure Kyoto bearings with the proper angle. Don’t let someone sell you tiny wheel bearings just cause they fit!!

I moved over to the island with family for self isolation so I went back to the city to pick up the cruiser. You're supposed to stay in your car in the ferry. Most people did.

I have front and rear locked 80 axles ready to rebuild and put under the 60! So the 60 axle only needed to get me here.

Did you recently remove or add the decals? ;) Looks great in both forms.

The cruiser is decal free, but i have the decals at home. The decals have been photo shopped on to see what it would look like. Not sure whether to have them put on or not yet. Will get the paint touched up first though.
