@Hank Tank, that's about the age our kiddos were when we were heading up the Black to camp/fish in our Cruiser. :) That was with two kids, a dog, four days worth of gear, 5 gallons of fuel, and a roof rack...on the OEM suspension. No surprise it needed to be replaced along the way. It eventually got mushy/scary with lateral maneuvering with any speed.

Thanks @LCnAZ . I can see that. The ol girl is running great but the top clear coat is all gone, so she is getting a RE-paint at present. Depending on the final result, I may reserve the Pig for the off road/family camping duty and keep the 62 for date nights. She’s almost too nice for the likes of me. Ha!

Except the part about lack of ground clearance on an off road vehicle.. and their idea of what Americans want at that time. But yes.
As one the larger 60 series drivers ... If you think they built these for the average American male, about 5-10 to 6-00' tall and 200# (in the 1980s!), just look at the height of the armrest on the door panels and the height of the center console. I think they were designed around a guy about 5-6' and a buck twenty-five! I think that's also why the seats don't last.

Wish they were both mine but I only own one. The other is owned by a guy who lives 3 miles from me.
I think that qualifies your neighborhood as some sort of Vortex ... right up there with Sedona, Arizona. what's the chances?

I'm 5'7" 135 lbs and my cruiser fits me great, better than my Tundra.

Arles Blue (Land Rover Defender color)

What color is this bad lary?

Oh, that's awesome. I didn't even consider 80 series racks. Did you have to use a 60 series specific mounting bracket or are the rain rails similar enough between the two models that they're interchangeable?

I’m no expert because I lifted it straight off of @Jonathan Faunce ’s 62 and onto my 60… but the towers themselves say “LC80” on them. I believe they have enough adjustment on them to make them fit onto a 60.
