I have been doing a lot of research and haven't really found a good easy solution for a radiator. I had a stock 60 radiator laying around so I fabricated some brackets to mount it. Used the factory 55 mounting holes and the factory 60 radiator mounting holes.

Hopefully this helps with showing what one looks like into a 55.

I just got the new radiator. I will take some pictures when it is installed.

I havent started a build thread yet but it is a 5.7/4l60E/ split case with sprung over 60 axles. Shackle reversal with the shackle mount in the frame. The axle is also moved all the way forward with the frame boxed and secured. 60 series power steering and 4x4 labs cross over steering.

It has been a big project but Im hoping to be driving for cruise moab. Wont be finished but hopefully able to participate.

Here are some pictures of the radiator mounted.

I had to offset it to the right side to clear the 60 series steering gear box all thanks to me moving the axle forward. With a normal setup I think a 60 series radiator fits nicely.

I still need to finish boxing the front of the frame then I will add a cross bar in the front. I also created a plate that sits on the frame rails and covers the front frame rail which will bolt in and be part of the tube fender/bumper that I will make.

With all of it bolted and welded in the front of the frame should be plenty strong enough to take the abuse.

It is a Champion aluminum radiator that has the 60 series stock mounting holes and brackets. The price of this one was more in my range then a new brass and copper radiator.

It is also a guinea pig for the shop.

The radiator I used for mock up was garbage. It was leaking from the top and bottom tanks.
