Not sure about "home stretch"... but Iam making good progress.

Should be on the road just in time for the hot Texas summer! ;)

Digging into the lift that came with the truck. Shocks where still working fine, just needed some clean up. Some paint, boots, and bushing.

I believe it is a skyjacker lift, only because the shocks where skyjacker 7000, but I can't find any marking on the springs. It seems like a 4 inch lift?

This weekend I finally had some time to figure out some tailgate chains, and add the rear licence plate holder and lights.

I had the large "s" hooks and the Toyota tailgate hardware, but not the actual chains. After a quick trip to the hardware store, I found some nice flexible chain. To keep the chain from rattling, I put some large size heat shrink over sections of the chain and left the area uncovered where the chain would bend when it closed.

I also finally installed the LED lights, on the rear licence plate holder. I bought the LED light kit from @SandiaFJ40
Can't say enough good things about this kit - worked great! I've got LED'd on replacing all lights of the truck. The only thing I have not done is the headlights - still deciding what to do there. Also Customer service with him was great! I had a minor issue with one of the boards, and he took care of it ASAP.

These LED's are bright - I took the picture below with my iPhone, with all my shop lights on, and you can still see the LED's shining on the plate. I'll grab a night photo - and also post up some other pictures of all the lights.

Really nice build. I love the 5.3 start-up video. What exhaust/muffler are you running on it? (assuming I didn't read over that) Sounds fantastic.

That video was shot before headers were added. It sounded great, was very loud.. my dog would run and hide.. ;)

My muffler shop built a crossover pipe, then a single 2.5 inch pipe down the drivers side, using all the OEM mounts, then mounted a Magnaflow 11255 (24") universal muffler under the OEM heat shield in the back, and out behind the PS wheel.

It's quiet...almost too quiet - stealth...

Definitely stealth! Raced anyone yet? lol

Really nice looking exhaust. Love the exit.
