It's like 3/4" before the stock pitman would be bumping the tierod if below the arm w no heims on high steer by hellfire-fab works. But that's kinda vague since my axle is forward

Will this work on a right hand drive truck?

Thank you,

Dan

No sir. The tolerances on this kit are to tight to fit the panhard on the diff side. You would loose lots of compression travel.

Ok, back to the shower tower issue. Since I'll be one of the earlier adopters and your kit doesn't have a shock tower solution, I need to get a grasp on what I'll be doing. I'd like to be at about 4~5" of lift height up front, so that will have to drive my decision.

I was leaning towards the Ballistic towers because they're the only ones I know of that don't require modification and are adjustable in height. But you say these are weak. Is it because the way they bolt up? I've seen two builds on MUD using them and no issues that I'm aware of

@sorensenjg with your 3-link kit

And @js93cruiser on his custom build

@jodo used some custom towers (made by Currie I believe?) which he had to extend in order to run 14" coilovers. No issues with the steering shaft though.

Then @Booger weldz used the Ruffstuff towers which are built like tanks, but required some notching to fit steering shaft. Perhaps I could bribe him to notch a set for me? :D

Aside from these towers, what other options do I have that clears the steering shaft without having to modify the tower? Hoops?

I guess its just a look of a lack of support that bothers me about the ballistic ones. I like the adjustment idea but don't like the overly simple design approach for the mere sake of cheap production. I tend to favor parts that look like someone crafted them not spit out a generic piece with little style and simply said "its 1/4" plate whats to worry about".

Obviously I have my own style that l like to build in and while you could use my Cobra towers and notch the back they were built the way they were because of limitations involved with real state on the mini truck platform. The 80 doesn't share those same concerns. Plus new parts gives new looks and designs which later down the road way end of working on other platforms. Maybe like an Xterra. I am digging the Currie ones. Something like that with out the top the way it is.

Where are you located? Are you available for installation of the kit? If so what's a ballpark estimate on that?

Small part, pun intended, in a skin flick and you've the funds to pay.

You're not too Texan for CA yet, are you?

I'm not sure I understand what you mean? Didn't mean to be brash in my response.

I don't think I'm too Texan for CA yet. In fact I fall asleep to thoughts of the perfect weather and beautiful scenery almost every night ;)

So I've been getting a lot of questions regarding shocks. It seems a lot of you guys are wanting to go with King or Fox or ORI. I guess I understand people wanting to go with bigger names then Radflo for this kind of purchase but let me just say this about a tunable shock. THEY'RE ALL THE SAME! With only a few exceptions and I wont mention they're names here. If you've ever spoken to me in person or on the phone you know which shocks I really think are crap.

If you have a shock that you've said doesn't work and you bought a different one because you heard someone tell you the other one is better, it isn't because one is actually better its because the valving inside worked better for your application. If its a tuneable shock then any shock can be made to work as good or as bad as the other. I sell Radflo's because they are a quality shock just like a Fox. But the tuning inside is what is really making it perform. The Radflo's I sell are entirely my receipt. You will not get this tune if you order a shock from someone outside of 4WU. The tuning is 50% of the performance of this system. So removing them from the kit nets you something less than ideal. This is why the kit is a package that Im not breaking apart to piece meal.

I've tuned Kings, Fox, Radflo, Sway A Way, Bilstiens and a few others I'd rather not mention, in the end its the tune that makes or breaks the vehicle.
