My bad. I guess you can but it would seem like doing all this work to be limited would not be worth it.
Yeah it wouldn't. I just can't see anyone in their right mined want a 3 link with a 2 inch lift.

2 inch lift is a joke. Action Jackson ran a 3 link with 6 inch lift and stock steering.

Yeah, but look at the angle of the draglink and panhard. If you want to do it right and have it handle tight, the steering needs to be changed. Not that expensive to do with a RHD steering arm.

Ya his tech has been inspiration to many. But we've all come a long way since then. Our understanding of engineering has evolved and we've all become more calibrated ass dyno machines. I personally don't think his setup was as good as it could have been. But a pioneer none the less.

I agree with you 2" lift is kind of pointless if you're going this far. But if some one has to run stock steering while they save up money to swap out to something better well then at least they have the option.

It's just the fact if your in this deep you are probably wheeling hardcore trails that require a 6+ inch lift. The bellies on these things are a big limiting factor.

Would you buy it if it worked with stock steering? Odd constraint you're bringing up.

Hey if you want to try it go for it. I'm not saying it doesn't work in fact it should have less bump steer than Jacksons. I'm just picky and would tell someone that at some point hi steer is going to be better. The flatter the panhard is to the ground the better the performance. You can't have a 6 inch lift and stock steering and have it flat.

True. Very true so why use stock steering in that situation? Why be in that deep and stop your upgrades at steering.

I think it will work but he just doesn't recommend it.

Well I've upgraded my steering with hydro and it works mint. Is that not enough?

I understand. And I'm at 6 and mine is not flat. It handles decent on the road. But it is not my DD.

Will a 3 link stop unloading the rear? What I mean is when one front tire drops off a ledge the back end rises up and can feel crazy tippy.

How's the hydro workin wrench? I've got a psc ram and tapped box but need to mod the pump I think(spring shim and 11/32 on the orifice I'm guessing)

Sort of, the taller/flat roll axis brings some of that in check, but you're working with a loaded school bus and that body is like a pendulum of huge proportions. Probably why so many jeeps don't use hardtops and so many toyota guys like pickup cabs.

So far it's working mint.

I can't steer at idle, in stock form currently, gotta blip the throttle to spin up the pump

That's open diff, no ram.

The 3link isn't gonna offer anything but a cool factor and flex at 2". The radius arm roll axis nightmare and resulting handling really shows up at 4" and beyond. It's the wandering and body roll feeling.
