Not sure if you guys watch 4wd Action on YouTube, but they have great hour long videos of their Australian adventures. Most featuring some kind of Land Cruiser. They just released a video this morning on building their first 200 series. There’s some good tech and tips on here they go through on building your DD 200 into an off-road ready and camping adventure rig. And it looks like they’ll have a video of the 200 on one of their trips coming up.

It's about time. They lean a bit into sponcon sometimes, but the actual wheeling is good. Don't take themselves too seriously

You might be the only LX owner on 35s that I know of, and @mcgaskins the only 37s, did you have to mess with dropping the diff to correct CV angles?
All depends how much lift you have in the front. I know @Prime has 35s on his LX as well with a simple AHC sensor lift, but he has trimmed a lot to fit his tires. I doubt he has any need to do a diff drop with a lower sensor lift.

Yeah I'm not worried about CV angle. I have a mild sensor lift, well within the parameters for AHC and for the suspension in general. When in H mode the angles are within design tolerance for AHC . . . this is another significant advantage the LX has due to its unique suspension. Our lift can be extreme, but only when we need it. The rest of the time it is bog standard, so better driveability 99% of the time, less component stress, etc.

For fitment on the 200 wide is harder than tall. They had to body chop on the vid 200 as those are 35x12.5s

Yea it looks like they probably chopped the fenders and then put those flares on to cover it up (and I believe Australia has a rule where tires can’t stick out past the fender)

watching those guys i learned a few things, like i used to stress over which tire is better offroad wider or narrow?. They all run different sizes and they all struggle in their own way.

Pretty much but it goes way beyond that as well. Graham rides in a very lightly modded, dual cab, mid-sized truck with limited clearance and goes most places. Sure some of it is YouTube-magic, but it's mostly legit. Lots of people can take note of this. It doesn't take the best lift, tire, roof rack, sliders, ect to get out and have fun. Especially in a 200. Throw some tires on there and go nearly anywhere.

Granted I say that as I'm building an absurd rig. 😁
