Wow! What an awesome job.

That special "blend" sure looks like it did the job.

I was planning on taking my carpet out and doing what I did to the back half last year, but you've got me considering leaving it in.

Great job!

BTW - where do you get a 12k winch for $330? What brand/model?

Thanks.

Don't laugh, but I'm getting a Harbor Freight winch. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday they are having a huge sale and the 12k winch that's normally $499 will be on sale for $299. For as little as I winch I think it will be fine. I use one a few times a year and even though they're slow, they're decently built and at $299 + tax, its a great deal. Going to get a synthetic line and a hawse fairlead to lighten things up and keep it user friendly. Can also get a wireless remote for the winch for another $29 - normally $49. I literally had a $349 9k in the basket on Friday and put it back when I saw the sale paper for this coming weekend.

wow, that interior cleanup job was a huge improvement! looks like it's time for some WeatherTech mats to protect those sparkly floor areas

Wow! Before and after pics of the interior are amazing.

Pearl white is a great color, I'm on my second one ;)

4wd and 4x4 magazines rated those badland winches from harbor freight pretty highly. :)

I've got the Harbor Freight 12K. I saw 2 Warns die out in CO, and many more have issues. Mine has been submerged, and thrashed. No issues (yet) with the winch internals/cable. The circuit breaker did stop working after the first pull, so I removed it and haven't had a issue yet. I do need to add a better circuit breaker, but for now it's been flawless.

Good to know. Thanks. I knew they got good reviews a couple years back but haven't heard much negative about them since - which I guess is a good thing because if they didn't last people would be bitching about them.

Bamachem- I used to read all of your threads/writeups on yotatech years back to help me build my 3rd gen (also double locked on 35s.) I just bought an 01 LX470 and it looks like I may use your rig for inspiration again!

The truck looks great, I cant believe how well that cleaned up. The Ironman bumper looks like a great fit on the LX as well. Did you need to do any mods other than trimming below the headlights? I had been leaning towards the TJM.

None at all. Only reason I trimmed below the lights was to get a slightly tighter fit. It's an excellent quality bumper and I think the risers work with the LX lights better than any others. At $800 + shipping and includes lights, its a STEAL.

This will be up for sale before Christmas. Any takers?

:D

Good luck with the build.

You win.

Someone made an offer I couldn't turn down.

Selling a ES350 and buying a 03-07 LC or LX. Next! LOL!

I lied. I just got around to selling the 2008 4Runner last week and picked up a 2008 LC tonight. Just joined the 200 club via my 6th Cruiser. Looking forward to getting back into another one...

He's a sick maschosist ...

Like the rest of us!

Absolutely awesome job on that LX470! I just bought a used (new to me) 2000 LX470 and the few things I need/plan to do it leave me feeling fairly embarrassed after seeing what you've done! Great job and best of luck with your LX470
