How does this come off … without busting that 35 year old plastic into a million bits.

There are five clips back there.
The clips aren't available from Toyota.
I ended up having my wife 3d print some.

The top one is centered about 4" down. The other four are on the outer edges progressively lower. Pull it back gently and try to use something thin
