I'm having some problems with my case and I'd rather just get a new one than try to find parts and break the bank. I can get this case for cheaper than most individual parts for mine.It might fit, but why?
The 85-later cases have the bigger idler shaft& bearings, stronger & quieter gears, 88-later have roller bearings instead of plain bushings in the output gears.
The 81 cases are missing some features of later cases, like the 5th gear oiler. They might not bolt to auto tranny, since it hadn't been invented yet.
