Old black man owns it. Been a customer for years. Every time I ask about buying it he just laughs.

No, it's not a diesel. Couldn't get a good explanation why it has the emblem.

I think he lives over near Watkins drive. I stopped over that way and talked to a nice old black man one time about his 40. Pretty sure thats the one. He backs it up against his house every night. Cool truck. Thanks for the pics chris!

anybody got any suggestions on how to close the 1/2 inch gap between my drivers door top frame and the hard top? I think the top may be bowed/out of wack?

The passenger side and 2 front (outside) bolts all lined up and bolted in but the drivers door is jacked up. It's enough that I don't think adjusting the screws will help any?

can I sit on it and see if it will bend it down or put something heavy on it and see if it will reconform?

Thanks for posting it!! Good find.

Thanks to Grogan for the input as well.

It was the best deal for us. Wanted a capable wheeler with an auto that you can drive on the street....this is it.
Glad to help! Wish I could've picked it up, so I'm glad it found a home in CottonLand

I bet that nice old black man has no idea that key is there! He lost it some years back, as it beloings to the 1976 Super Beetle sitting in his storage and they can't be replaced.
WCT you're a genius taking a picture of that button and finding that key!
