I agree with that, Scott. Seems like a lot of rig for the money if one is looking for a trail rig. I would add some simple rock rails and rock it. Looks like it might even be streetable with a little TLC.
If anyone runs across a set of seat sliders from a late 70s 40 please grab them or let me know. Want to make pass side seat adjustable as well.
Also, the sliders I have already are stuck. 2 weeks of regular PB soak and no change. Any ideas?

Tried heat yet? Install them and use body weight to help pull back and forth?
Heat and a big hammer, yes.
Gonna try and bolt them to some plywood soon, see if I can move them with weight. Good idea.

Are you very serious about doing a completely correct restore? I spent my money at a junk yard on Hyundai Tiburon seats and modded my existing mounts and I'm very happy. There are lots of seat threads in the 40 Tech forum.

Yeah, I'm wanting to stay with the correct seats. I have a friend of a friend type contact who owns an upholstery shop. Gonna let him look at them before I make the call.
If SOR makes a bottom foam, those are worth the $$$ IMO, at least on the drivers side.

if ya want to build a bumper. 4x4 labs has the stoutest spindle. everything else is just 2x2 or 2x4 tubing. I believe i still have the spare tire mount plate . it just needs studs.
What's the best way to remove this black door panel adhesive? Looks like one of the PO got a little crazy with it and it is gooped up on the bottom part of door. It's always getting on the kids and ruining their clothes.
