I have never actually seen the truck, but when I was driving in Ridgeland, I was stopped by a woman and her daughter in a brand new Lexus LX. She complemented my 40 and we had a brief conversation. She told me that she and her husband owned a beige 40. I told her to tell her husband to look up CLC and come to one of the meetings. She rolled her eyes, and said "Actually, I am the one that drives it mostly." I told her she could come to the meeting too.
It has to be the same 40
The black plate covering the spot on the firewall where the heater hoses come through...two questions:
1. What's it called (can't find it in any searches)
2. Anybody got one laying around?

Finally drove the 40 in the rain AFTER getting new radio installed. I am getting water in passenger floorboard near heater. Where do I start investigating?

Not knowing the history i will ask a dumb question: Are you thinking the radio add is related to the leak? Did you cut new holes in body for any of this?

Drain hoses from the vent in front of the windshield. Make sure they are hooked up. Might have knocked one off during the install.

I put new gaskets on the kick panels but check those and did you mess with the radio antennae, it's also on the outside of the passenger floor?
I'm guessing vent hose though.

Anybody got a pic of this area around vent hose. . The radio that died after the crawl was from water damage.
There were no new holes drilled for this install. Nice to have tunes again. Hope this radio lasts.(not a slight on PO radio)

To check this do I need to lower windshield ?
No, access to where the hoses connect is behind the heater, inside the truck, underneath the dash, way up high. Very hard to get to with everything in.
Easiest way to peek it is to remove your ashtray. That should let you see right in there. The drain tubes connect to the cowl vent, and are about 3/4" in diameter.
A week ago i had everything out and could have posted great pics, but all my stuff is installed now. I'm going by there shortly, will post a pic if I can get one that will help.
I can't get you a good pic. But pulling the ashtray will get you a good view. When you pull it it will be behind and above the opening.
